The rest of my costume arrived today! And there are still more accessories/components missing from the picture (cuz I have no idea where they go...)
How much did it cost?
I bought it from here.
The price has gone up since I made my purchase, however. I've actually been looking at Assassin's Creed costumes and props for the past year (just idly amusing myself with the idea of making such a purchase), but the prices have always been astronomical. I've seen some Assassin's Creed costumes cost several hundred dollars (sometimes over a thousand). This particular costume, IIRC, was also priced fairly highly way back when.
But the night I ordered, the website was offering a very good promotion. They were selling the costume for $129, plus they were offering an additional 25% off my total purchase (which is why my fiancee is now going as a Renaissance lady).
It's a bit more expensive than the Batman costume I was putting together by piecemeal, but it's so much better.
If you're interested, I highly suggest you go with the one I got as opposed to the cheaper one (which is also sold by Party City). I've read some pretty awful reviews about that cheap one. But this one is really nice. Definitely the nicest costume I've ever bought (and the first time I ever bought clothing online).
If I were forced to voice a complaint, I'd mildly gripe about the "beak" part of the Assassin hood being kind of bent from the packing process.
I bought the hidden blade/gauntlet separately though. $40 from Gamestop.
What did you get your daughter to wear?
Minnie Mouse (pics from Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom)
(she has some food on her face in this one lol)
And this last one is from last year's Halloween Party
Me and the youngest at Tree Adventures, for the middle kid's 10th birthday.
No stitches, though. Just surgical glue.
I like how one of the related vids shows a beat-up Liam Neeson.
Being driven home after attending a wrestling show earlier this evening... had 6 Jack & Coke's at the event.
Easiest Halloween costume ever!!
i feel dumb, but what is your costume?
I wonder if its related that 'The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou' movie.
Legends of the Hidden Temple, sillies.
ah, thanks todd. that's one of the rare kids things that occurred in the gap between when i was a kid and when i had kids, lol.
I still have no idea what that is.
I had no idea either, but I attribute that to my nationality. Still, we had lots of kids shows like that over here and they were all awesome. At least, awesome from my ten year old's perspective.
An awesome early 90s Nickelodeon show.
Sure, the costume was easy, but let's see how easy you think it is when you're trying to find your way around the hidden temple.
Here's a couple of pics from this morning. My wife ninja photo'd me this morning at my son's Halloween parade. Another of my son, he's Troy Polamalu.
This picture goes extremely well with your avatar.
Oh jaypes, poor guy!
