Fun Post random YouTube (and other) videos

So a while back, voice actors April Winchell (aka Peg) and Rob Paulsen (aka Pinky) got the idea for a video show called Sock Puppet Theater. They would take submissions from wacky discussions all across the internet (chat rooms/messageboards/article comments) and then act them out with other voice actors by using sock puppets.

The results...are a surreal and sobering glimpse into just how far the internet has knocked us down the mental ladder.

Since today was John Kerry's last day in the Senate (he's sworn in as Sect of State Friday), I figured I'd post this classic from his 2004 failed Presidential Campaign:

 

His overdramatic response (when he was yet to be tased) was a little funny, but still, I don't understand why people were cheering when the security guards grabbed him. "Yay, we think you sound dumb, so we'll cheer when guards manhandle you for no reason". He had already finished his questions when they grabbed him. If he had persisted for a long time I would get it, but as it is, it seems like they just wanted to humiliate him because they didn't like what he said.

 

Least he didn't ask for it like this idiot here:

 

"Who is my daddy, and what does he do?"

 

Yes, I love the way he was bellowing "Is anyone watching this?" and "HELP HELP HELP HELP" over and over. Did he think he was going to be thrown in the gulag or something? If he had, at any point once security approached him, just shut his big yap, they would have just walked him outside and let him go. What a maroon. Apparently, he got confused and thought he was in some banana republic or something where he was going to be drug outside and shot.



Only soundboard prank call that is actually funny. It's all the quiet laughter that really sells it. And for once the person getting pranked is genuinely funny.

"Your clothes. Give them to me."
