Maybe it's something in the newer version then. Anyone else with Firefox seeing the message?

Have a version of Firefox loaded, so checked out Literature (took about three minutes of fingertip navigating to find it!), and did not get the error message. This was without logging in, as I am usually logged in on IE, and didn't want to lose that.

Unable to find Help on my Firefox, so unable to identify the version. It's at least three years old.

On Firefox 50.0.2 (my primary browser), I don't get that error when I navigate to the Lit forum manually. However, if I manually prepend "https://" to the URL (replacing the implicit "http://" that many browsers no longer show), then I get the exact error message that was reported (aside from the current timestamp).

The solution is to use HTTP ("http://", which again not all browsers show in the address bar), not HTTPS ("https://"). The error is a security certificate error, which is unique to the HTTPS protocol, and AFAIK, boards.theforce.net has never supported HTTPS. Therefore attempting to load a page using an "https://" prefix won't work. and will produce the error message given on the previous page. Most likely, Vthuil either accidentally bookmarked the Lit forum with an "https://" prefix (though I'm not sure how that would happen), or is following a link posted by someone else that inadvertently included the "s".

(TF.N really ought to support HTTPS, because it's more secure and there's no good reason not to. But that's a different discussion.)

Manually entering in the URL "http://boards.theforce.net/forums/literature.10003/" actually results in it changing to "https://boards.theforce.net/forums/literature.10003/".

Have you tried clearing your browser history (including cache, cookies, and the like)?

Before trying the nuclear bomb, try a scalpel: Close all TF.N tabs, open your history (Ctrl+Shift+H), search it for the HTTPS url, right-click it, and choose "Forget About This Site". Then try the HTTP version of the URL again. (See this blog post for some technical details, if you want to.)

For future reference, Help is in the little bar at the top left - along with 'File View History Bookmarks Tools'. If you don't see that bar you might have turned it off.

If it's not there, pressing the Alt key will make it appear.

Not a technical issue, but this is the only Comms thread that I know to come to:

    Excellent memorium banner, Guys.

So we can't ignore mods, not even 1 of them?
    *sigh* That's not fair.

Yeah that's not changing and I don't really appreciate this thread being used as a passive aggressive means of complaining about staff, either.

What is the limit of tags in one post? And what happens if you exceed that limit (i.e. is the post rejected, or are notifications just not sent out)?

Ten and I believe the latter, although it's been a long time since I last tested it.

I seem to be having an issue with "un-stickying" PMs. I've tried to "Edit Conversation" with a couple of that were stickied, unchecking the "Sticky Conversation" and then clicking on on "Edit Conversation." But when I go back to my inbox view, the conversations remained stickied. Is this a known issue or is there some kind of fix I can try?

Try selecting the conversation by ticking the small box to the left of the title. In the Other Action dropdown that appears, select 'Unstick Conversations' and hit the 'Go' button to the right of that. I've tested it on my Inbox and it seems to work fine. You can select multiple conversations to unstick. Let us know if that works for you.

Has tapatalk started sounding email notifications to everyone for no reason lately? I checked the tapatalk settings and I have all email notifications unchecked.

I'd have to look at my settings, but I do at least get emails whenever I get a like from a Tapatalk user. Same with PMs.

I contacted tapatalk, they think someone hacked into my account to do it, should be all set now.

Make sure you verify your email notification preferences in both the Tapatalk app and on the TFN account settings. There was a recent update of the Tapatalk app, and in the past those updates have been known to reset settings.
