Post the top 10 reasons you loved/hated AOTC

I?ll go first. I thought AOTC was a bad movie for the following reasons:

10. No Han Solo ? just Ewan McGregor pretending to be British.
9. CGI, no matter how photo-realistic, is the tool of the devil.
8. No Luke Skywalker ? just that whiny Anakin punk.
7. Making the clone wars about actual clones proves Lucas has run out of ideas.
6. No Princess Leia ? just that wooden (but very, very hot) Padme.
5. Too much action ? what happened to plot?
4. No Darth Vader ? just some old geezer with a bent lightsaber. Old people are useless.
3. Too much talking ? what happened to action?
2. Romance and sex does not belong in a Star Wars film. Luke and Leia should have been adopted instead.
1. Yoda fighting was put in just for the fans. How dare Lucas try and please us!

My top 10 reasons?

1. It was an awesome movie.

I don't know about Duckman, but I'm a real Devil with the Ladies. So much so that they are all afraid of me. When the see me, they turn around and run away. I love being me.


But here's ten reasons I loved AOTC.

1) Its brilliant (thats not an opinion thats FACT )
2) Its spectacular
3) It has lots of lightsabre action
4) It has plenty o' humour
5) It has a complex plot (not complicated "complex" )
6) Yoda has never looked so good.
7) Its Fantastic
8) Natalie Portman is in it and she is quite nice
9) Lots of violence
10) Christopher Lee is brilliant.


There are about 10000000 other reasons I love AOTC, but those are the ones that came to mind first.

 

Top Ten Reasons Why I Hated AOTC

10. No Peter Cushing
9. No Alec Guinness
(the casting people really dropped the ball)
8. No claymation, clearly the best special effect with the greatest potential yet sadly squandered
7. No love interest for Yoda
6. Cliegg Lars should have been developed further and given more screentime.
5. No Lobot
4. Where are the Ewoks? They would have made a way better army than the clonetroopers.
3. Seismic charges. There is no sound in space therefore space sequences should be completely silent
2. No Rancor
1. Threepio vs. Dooku lightsaber duel was cut in favor of Yoda

As much as I despised AOTC for these obvious shortcomings, I'm willing to give Episode III a chance.

One thing I didn't like about AOTC was that Yoda wasn't in the film.

 

I hate to break this to you Ducky, but Ewan Macgregor IS British.

 

AL, he is being SARCASTIC.
Of course, you knew this.

And anyway, he isn't British, he is Scottish, from Fife. And there is a difference. I should know.

 

I hated it because:

10. Dooku had a beard
9. Obi-Wan had a beard
8. Yoda didn't have a beard
7. Mace didn't have hair
6. Jocasta Nu didn't have a beard, but had hair, how odd
5. The Acklay was completely devoid of hair
4. Too much hair on the Nexu
3. Ki-Adi Mundi had a beard
2. No bent lightsaber blade
1. No yellow lightsaber

Top 10 reasons I loved AOTC.

10. Only 2 good scenes in more than 120 minutes of film. But those 2 scenes were GREEAAAATT!
9. Dialogue that sounded like it was translated into English out of Cantonese by a deaf-mute with a third-grade education gave AOTC a unique tone and style.
8. Sound effect for Jango's seismic missiles woke me from a deep nap.
7. Loved the artistic way Lucas forgot to edit out the second take of Shmi's death scene.
6. I truly, deeply love Natalie Portman's nipples.
5. Jango dies like a punk, proving that Boba's death in ROTJ was no fluke.
4. CG Yoda whirls, flips, demonstrating once and for all why he is "Lord of the Dance."
3. 10 years ago I wrote George Lucas a detailed forty-page letter proving to him that the Storm Troopers were clones. Now it's come true. I'm crying as I write these words.
2. Luke is a whiner. Anakin is a whiner. George Lucas's attention to detail simply amazes me!!!
1. Lucas pans ***UP*** after the scroll. Genius!!!!!!

 

Top 10 reasons I loved AOTC (in no particular order):

10) Amazing sound
9) Great CGI (even if it was tad overkill)
8) Brilliant, never-before-seen-in-a-SW-movie action scenes
7) Yoda, need I say more
6) Anakin and Obi Wan together (always funny)
5) The way it puts "curious" and "very much" into your everyday language like it never was before
4) the Braveheart of Star Wars (arena scene)
3) Ground battle in a whole new way we've never seen before
2) Great foreshadowing
1) Awesome display of what it is to travel down the path of the dark side

 

First of all, you can't call yourself a true Star wars fan if you absolutly HATE EVERYTHING about the movie, but I'm sure Dukman liked something about it and second of all EWAN MCGREGOR IS SCOTTISH! I should know. I'm his stalker.

Scots are British: however much that grieves and enrages them.

 

Actually, if I understand correctly, Scots are British, they are part of the UK but not Britain. Or did the name not change? Bah, who cares.

Anyways, Top 10 Why AOTC Rocked:

10. Christopher Lee was a great casting choice and really threw me back to the OT villains and "feel"
9. CG was great (even if it wasn't need in some spots), with the exception of a scene or two.
8. The clonetroopers were a great throwback to the stormtroopers and suddenly I stopped spending my time comparing the PT with the OT and felt like it was one series.
7. The humor was very OT and classic.
6. Hayden's acting was a breath of fresh air.
5. Suddenly I say "very much" and "curious" a lot more than I used to.
4. We see the Jedi in their prime instead of an old Jedi and a young one jumping around fighting droids.
3. The plot was by far the best of the series
2. Yoda's fight was great. And to think I was afraid they'd mess it up...
1. THe emotion really pulled you into the movie. In those 2 hours I cared more for the PT characters (with the exclusion of Padme), than I did about the OT characters that had 3 movies. (But it's still close).

And that, my friends, is sarcasm-less.

 

First of all, ATOC just rocked. I haven't had a chance to really soak it in though, considering that I only had the opportunity to see it the opening show. I hate the people that bash the movie. It is most likely my favorite of the 5 movies so far.

I am not sure if I can break it down into 10 points of favorites, but I can probably put in a few bashings too.

1. Yoda's fight scene was just pure magic.
2. The arena battle scene was just kick *ss, even though the Jedi got the butts handed to them.
3. Learned where Boba came from. he has always been one of my favorites.
4. The death of a great character. This time Jango, Ep1 Darth Maul.
5. Unbelievable forshadowing again with Anakin. After all, that is what the movie stories are about.
6. Padme' Amidala.
7. The Geonosians.
8. The chase on Coruscant.
9. The asteriod chase. By far, better than the one in TESB.
10. The visual effects. Once again, Lucas' vision was wonderfully done.

Now, for some of you people who talk bad about the Clone Troopers. The story and the world of SW is pure fantasy and magic. Also, lots of things are taken and then made better. Therefore, you will see simularities in things throughout time in this universe.
The Clone Wars were always told to have involved Clones. It was just how they were used was the ?.

That is where I will stop at......

10. Palpatine and his "sincere" comments about the republic

9. Dooku and the cool way in which he said each of his lines

8. R4 - need I say more?

7. Seeing Owen and Beru and the Lars homestead again...that was so cool.

6. The younglings...I love that scene

5. Anakin (aka Hayden - he did really good)

4. The Kaminoans (they are very entertaining)

3. Obi-Wan chopping down the Acklay (I love that scene too!)

2. Yoda fighting

ANd # 1.............................































Obi-Wan not only is he extremely hot and can wield a lightsaber, but he is so funny.
