Azeem, your costume is awesome, even my husband thought it was very cool- maybe I could convince him to wear something like that. But I have to ask, who is Jax? Is he a character from the SW Comics?

    Greetings Everyone,

Maybe I should let Azeem answer this, but here goes anyway...

Carnor Jax is a former guardsman from Palpatine's elite Royal Guard in the DarkHorse comics series Crimson Empire. Check out the cover of part one HERE.

Jax controls the Empire's ruling council for a while after ROTJ. His nemesis is another former guardsman named Kir Kanos.

EDIT: THIS is my favorite of the covers. :D

EDIT #2: BTW, the covers linked to above depict Kir Kanos. THIS cover shows Carnor Jax standing on top of Kanos.

ALSO, that is one FANTASTIC Jax suit, Azeem!

    Hope this helps,

Great pics everybody! Guess it's time for me to contribute. Here's me in Jedi garb with an EL saber. Took it without a flash to get a glow out of the EL, it just looks white with the flash.

Thanks for the comments folks :)

The helmet is a DP royal guard helmet I modified and repainted.

The robes are velvet/satin that my wife made. We are working on the Kir Kanos version next.

Thanks Doright! Not that you can really see anything in that pic. :) The robe was made by our very own ObiWannabe (well, she used to hang around here anyway). I "edited" the other parts together from mostly existing parts (karate gi, riding boots,...).

That's a cool-looking saber you made. I have about five of those sink kn... er, I mean, pommels lying around. ;)

Ok.. here are pictures of me in my Jedi Robes. Thanks for all the help here everyone. :D

    My Jedi Robes

The tunic is an old Karate uniform. I made the Sash and tabards myself. I did most of the Robe myself but my mom had to help me attach the hood [face_blush] Let's just say I had problems doing that part on my own and leave it at that shall we. The saber is one I made on my own.

Thanks to everyone here who gave out helpful tips. :D

    Great Job Fanboy!

paulkenobijedi01 It's really not that hard to make sabers. Some of mine I can do in a short amount of time. Well if you don't count waiting for paint to dry as part of your construction time. The sewing was stretching it for me a bit but my Mom was there to help. Hey, even a 30 year old can ask Mom for help sometimes.

I can understand that. Sewing is a lot harder than it looks. My hat is off to the folks here who do it so well.

Well, they're neither fancy nor schmancy, but here is the link to my costume photo pages.

Hopefully, things will expand a bit before long, as there are a few costumes that haven't made it on there yet...
