    Hi there !

Okay, I´m a bit late, but I need this one for an animation.
    So I dit it.

    This is my CGI:

And this is the reference pic:
    [image=http://img319.imageshack.us/img319/6605/cap0371ak.jpg]

Both images imitate the look throug an binocular as the AT-AT charge the generator.
Don´t look at the numbers, it´s just anything for the feeling...

The shape is okay, but I have to make the material a little bit more dirty.

    Thanks for your comments,
    Ahasver

Looks pretty good! I would only suggest that you take another look at the color of the generators. I think yours are too blue. The reference shots look more on the gray side.

    Whats the animation for?

Looks pretty good. I think the throws it off for me and says CGI is the atmospherics. Everything else is good. But the original seems to have a snow storm going on or something. So work on some more atmopherics, IF you want to improve it b/c it's good the way it is, like dust smog smoke haze, etc.

As stated above...I think the image is leaning a bit too much to the blue side...Take it into a grayscale area. The other thing I noticed is that the image below (frame grabbed from the movie) is quite blurry...It's as if there is interference on the scope, thus the picture looks like it is getting bad reception. Matching that in a post program like AE or Combustion will do wonders for your shot...It seems too that your scale is a bit off on the building model....Or it might be because you rendered in a different aspect ratio than that of the frame grab.

    Hope this helps out.

    Hi there !

    Thanks for your comments.
Yes, the small line between blue and grey.

Now the generator is a little more greyish, but the rest too less blueish:

In an animation the dizzeld interlaced view will be more present.
I will blow this generator a second time, but this time it´s the power generator of the company I work for...

The view matches not exact the view in the film, that´s right.

    Best regards

and the lasers don´t look like lasers
and we can talk of right sizing,
    it´s just a scratch !

    Best regards
