I had a crazy idea that we could put up fliers around the D.C. area at places SW fans would go to try to boost members ship. I tried messing with Power Point and managed to piss myself off.

We could also make ones for the Crazy Old Wizards.

I've never used Power Point but I'm sure we could come up with something somehow.

If I knew where SW fans went, I'd have been there long ago!

The once place I know of is a mini-con thrown by the Wasington Science Fiction Association aka WSFA the weekend of Oct. 19 in (I think) Silver Spring. Capclave is quite literary oriented and very small, but Ken's good buddy will gladly drop off fliers for us. (ok, I just volunteered George, but we've dropped off fliers for WSFA at other cons so fair's fair!) Also, gaming shops might let us put up fliers.

I'm going on record now that I have no idea how to actually use Power Point or anything like that.

There are usually comic/card shows the first Sunday of every month near Tyson's Corner. We can leave flyers at those for sure; they have a table set up just for them. Unfortunately next month it's on the 6th and I can't go. :(

WOTC in PCity and Springfield come to mind, plus the Complete Strategist in Falls Church and maybe out Joe's way by Dulles.

What do you need Power point for? I'd suggest plain ol' PC Paint or even something clever in Word.

I guess if I have all these ideas I should do some prototypes, eh?

I know how to use PowerPoint. However, if you want just a flyer I can do that also. Sometimes simple is better. I would also like to know where SW fans meet and congregate. It took me years to find you guys!
And I am sooo glad i found you! :D

How about this. If you have the ability to make fliers for the meeting and the League, please go ahead and make them and put them up.

I'd suggest Adobe Illustrator rather than Powerpoint

Appreciate is an understatement where you're concerned... ;)

I have trouble appreciating someone that looks like he's my little sister's age.

well, he is still very cute. Look at me! I don't look my age either. of course I'm not nearly as adorable as Hayden, but still. In some pictures he looks his age.
