I.E., CA Pre 4th of July BBQ

Hey Everyone come to the
Pre-4th of July BBQ
hosted my kitchenvixen(anita) and olympic_hack(jimmy)
July 3rd
Yuciapa Regional Park


Potluck....the is a event for the whole family.
We will bring ribs, hotdogs and some drinks and sides
Maybe if we have time we will make a pinata.
For any additinal info jsut ask.
We will get their real early to get a picnic area.

 

General questions up for discussion:

* What day? July 2nd? July 3rd?

* What times?

* Do we need a BBQ, or will one be provided?

* Do we want this to be an IE ONLY event, or do you want me to open up the invitation to the Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego fan forces? (The more people, the better, in my opinion. )

 

It clearly states July 3rd.
We will get there when park opens so come whenever
We have a grill/smoker so no worries
this is IE only as we would really like to get know who is in our group.

 

The date is listed right in the post. I'd assume the time is open? We'll probably plan on getting there by 10 or 11.

A link with information on Yucaipa Regional was posted over in the ideas thread. I presume that will give info on the park location, fees for entry ,etc?

here is the link. There is info on all the parks ammenities and fees. The time is open for when to come...but remember this is potluck, but don't be so silly to come with 1 snack size bag or doritos...LOL

What about any additional meat, like hamburger fixin's or hot dogs?

additional meat would be good. Ya never know how many carnivores will come............such as myself.

 

I would like to know as of now who is coming and what you are bringing.

 

Myself and possibly a friend. I'm bringing soda and water. (Anita, do you want me to grab a flat of juice for the kids?)



Also, I know I'm taking a leap here since no one's mentioned it... but just as a reminder, following Fanforce's rules, alcohol is not prohibited. I know, no one's mentioned it, but as a just in case.

 

juice would be nice. Yeah no alcohol...we were sure people knew this but it never hurst to remind people.

 

Juicy Juice (I think that's how that stuff is spelled) or is another type preferable?

I'm not going to be drinking it, so I want to make sure it's something the kids will drink.

 

It's really not that big of an issue. Most kids just like jiuce because it's sweet.

 

Raises an interesting point I've been meaning to mention...

I've beeing looking for these official "rules." Haven't gotten the FF.N site to work, for one thing. Is my PC being retarded, or is the site no longer functioning? I did find some stuff on the General boards, but just FF FAQs, TOS for the boards, and the code of conduct for chapter reps. I'm probably overlooking something obvious.

This is the only forum I've joined that doesn't have a FAQ sticky at the top with the whole READ FIRST deal so people know what to expect. Might be helpful to get the scoop before deciding to join.

from what i thought i read there is to be no alcohol. seeing how ff is open to 13 and over.

 

Seeing how this picnic is a family affair, Anita and I are hosting this event, and we as a fan force have no leadership, I am making it known that alcohol will not be welcomed at this event.

 

The stupid part is that they're posted on the Chapter Rep board. Which, of course, you can't access unless you're a chapter rep.

I'll go bug either James or Matt to see if they can past me a copy of them.
