Well, I was planning on being there at about 7

My exam finishes at 4:30 and I will have to wait for my ride becuase parking in Hamilton is just waaaaaaaay to expensive so my mom is going to drive me. Which means factoring in traffic and such I will get home about 5ish. Then shower, grab something to eat and get changed. I will try and get as much stuff ready and done tonight as I can, Possibly rest for a little bit but I don't think I will be able to, to excited!

Then start heading to St.Catherines at about 7 to help and whatever needs to be done then.

Yes, I have given this alot of thought

If we are going to be lining up outside, the weather doesn't look too bad, maybe abit on the chilly side but there is no rain forcasted, so we won't have to worry about that

This is how it will work...
Dark and Light side baskets will be raffle draw prizes. Buy a ticket $2 for one, 3 for $5.
The Celebration basket will be an auction, much like the big mural we did for EPII that got us $100.

On top of that we have free paintball passes for everyone in the theater(s) (Thanks Jerry), and countless posters, key chains, and patches to give away.

John will also be handleing a trivia contest, and he has a bag full of figures and stuff to hand out to the winners also.

Well done my friends, lets hope the charity end of tomorrow night goes well (since we all know the movie is going to rock ).

Maybe we should put some kind of disclaimer on that one like "Do not eat if you don't like trips to the ER"

I want to give heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out and helped tonight.

Without you, the evening would not have been as much fun, nor as much a success.

I am pleased to announce that we raised close to $920 for Women's Place, all in under 2 hours!

Thank-you all once again.

What can I say...YJN did a fantastic job tonight.

All said and done YJN raised $917.75 for Womens Place.
The event was a big hit right from the start, and everyone in both early showings had a blast being entertained.
I just want to thank everyone that helped out with this event. It was short in the planning stage, but it ended up one of our most successful events.

The movie itself was great, and tied the old and new trilogies together very well.

Well done Guys! I had a blast tonight, and the fact that we were able to raise such a great amount in such a short period of time is truely phenominal

Speaking of The Standard...

There is yet another picture of the club in todays paper (Thursday May 19th page A4).

It's a fantastic picture of Jay (Vader), John (Imperial Officer), and Tim (Mandalorian).

That pic is a great pic to get from the paper.

The title is "Return of the Star Wars Fans" and features John in a "now and then" photo from 1983.

That must be a pretty scary picture

As the Laptop movie thing failed, I hang my head in shame...

My friend's job was to bring a battery, it died within thirty seconds. Therefore no speakers and the movie couldn't last very long...

But hey, I made up for it by being a loud mouth crazy-guy. I think I only angered a select few. Corey!

Not sunglasses, just my regular glasses, but they do the auto-tint thing.

Yes, thats really me, age 18. Staged photo. I was already in the theatre and they pulled a bunch of people out to take the photo. The picture originally ran 26 May, 1983 along with an article on the release of Return of the Jedi and was at the bottom of the front page.

Just out of curiosity, how long did you have to wait or how early did you get to the Theatre to be first in line? Was that your intention or did it just kind of happen?

The first show was at 7:00 pm or so, I lined up 8 am. Did the same for Empire, but ESB was at the Pen Centre and they had the inside the mall entrance at that time, so I think I lined up then at 9 am, when the mall opened. First in line for both, if I recall with both the next person was less than 30 minutes later.

No early seating. No early ticket sales. They opened the box office and the doors, bought your ticket and then headed straight in to get a seat.

That is a bloody awesome picture! Both of them actually are really neat!

Too bad I didn't realize that it was in yesterdays paper, I would have picked up a copy, cause that b/w one with Jay, Tim and John is great!
