Well, we are gonna have to compromise. You two both have plans intill after the 16-17 weekend.

How about the 23rd? Its of course a Saturday.

If the date is all set, then we need a place to go on that date.
Does everyone like the Imax idea?

About the NE aquarium IMAX theatre:

The giant screen ? 65? high by 85? wide ? is taller than a six story building! The slight curvature of the screen extends to the edge of your peripheral vision. With the seats steeply-pitched, there isn?t a bad seat in the house, even for small children. The state-of-the-art digital surround sound reproduces sounds as soft as a breeze or as loud as a hurricane with equal fidelity.

    About the IMAX-
Into the Deep is Boston's first encounter with cutting-edge IMAX 3D Technology. The IMAX 3D glasses and polarized projection system are designed to mimic human sight, so you won't just be watching seals frolic around you?you'll be right there with them!

Venture down to the kelp forest off the shores of California, a fascinating world where a male garibaldi tenaciously protects its nest, a graceful giant starfish eats everything in its path and squid engage in a frenzied mating ritual.

When I lived in CA there was an IMAX theatre just a few miles away, the largest in the world actually. It was 8 stories tall. Wicked cool stuff.

Lost Worlds and T-Rex are also playing. I saw T-Rex and I wasn't impressed. Lost Worlds doesn't look great either. Its more educational.

Back to the March meet. What do you guys think of the meet idea?

    Date:23rd
Time:TBA(have to get closer to that day to see what time the IMAX is; Most likely 1pm)
    Place:NE aquarium IMAX theatre
Event: Viewing "Into the Deep" a 3D IMAX. Then off to eat somewhere.

The Imax sounds good but the movie their showing doesnt exactly thrill me,but whatever I'm game.

As for where to eat,Hooters might be a hike from the water front (plus if any of our Female counterparts decide to show they might not like it to much).Fanuiel Hall is right there and theres plenty of food places to choice from.

Well, you are the resident Boston expert, living there and all. What is the nearest resturant with hot waitress'?

The aquarium is perfect cause I can just come right into South Station and walk about a quarter of a mile.

If the wait to get into Cheers isn't 40 min. then that would be a good idea. But if not, there must be some other resturants around there.

It is definatly at the aquarium as I got that info of neaq.com
It may also be playing at the museam though. I would prefer the aquarium for both because it was be more annoying for me to try and get all the way to the museam.

I thought Science Museum and Aquarium had different types of theatres: museum has Omni and Aquarium has a new Imax. I don't know the difference since I've only been in Omni so far.

BTW I can't believe it guys that no one saw the R2D2 in Science Museum! I went there for the first time and spotted it at once!

    >>Where is it?

Somewhere in Science Museum, I don't remember exactly but I guess you can find it if you search it thoroughly :)

    >>And yeah, your right, but I think they can play the same kinda movies.

I don't think so - they seem like 2 different types of technology or 2 different formats so Imax can't show the movies made for Omni and vice versa.
