    Oh?

Is it confirmed? Or wishful thinking?

Coz I already have both versions of ANH on tape.

And I have the trailer on CDROM...

    Apparently there IS AotC footage.

TPM last week has stuff NOT in the trailer, so I would prepare to tape the AotC stuff just in case.

Actually it was just before the credits... it was never publisized, just like it hasn't been tonight... so there are no gaurantee's... we can only have 'A New Hope'! :)

The whole package was very good this week. Even the 3PO/R2 thing was humourous.

And to quote 3PO from the thing, "What would you know?"

Sounds like Padme and Anakin's story is going to follow next week.

Don't worry Shara, TF.N will be good little fanboys and post it again, like they did last week :)

Now it's all very good and nice for us oldies that have seen it a hundred times, but what about the poor little kiddies that are watching it for the first time?

They basically gave away that Vader is Anakin is Luke's father, that Vader kills the Emperor, etc - TWO WEEKS BEFORE THEY'RE SHOWN!!!

    What a crock!

LucasFilm is spoiling their own movies!

    Fnah

Very poor form, Lucasfilm and Ch9.

Bah. They're 20 year old movies, I'm sure people have gotten the drift of that part of the story line in that time.

    Nope.

I have a friend. She's mid twenties. Doesn't know a thing about the plot or the surprises.

And there's always people watching it for the first time.

    ie. little kids.

    Why spoil it for them?

    tsk tsk tsk

The point is, Lucasfilm don't seem to mind as it's a social thing that everyone knows. Of course there's always the odd person who won't know, but they're in the minority by a long way. I had a mate in high school that had never seen the movies but could still joke aobut the father thing.

All movies lose that finale surprise after about a year and it's not a surprise to them. And kids don't care about it. They'll forget in a week anyway.

I just had a thought...there could be some uber-spoilers in Connections tonight. It's not completely likely, but it's possible. I mean, it's happened before with TPM, so there's always a chance.

On a not entirely unrelated note, has anyone else downloaded the latest (third) AOTC ad off tf.n today?

Wow! I was always ho hum about Boba Fett before, but after seeing Jango in action... you've got to hand it to him. If you haven't seen it, it's worth the download. It's a general description of Fett and all of his goodies along with a shot of each weapon or accessary he uses.

Here is a direct link to it. Right click on it and then "Save target as" option. TF.N has all three ads on their site somewhere. They're mostly shots from the trailers with a bit extra. But the Fett ad has plenty of new stuff.

How spoilery is it, though? I'd be guessing VERY.

The ad's not much more spoilerific than any of the trailers (ie, it doesn't show much more than a few battle scenes). If you've seen the trailers, you won't learn much more than you already know. Other than the fact that any of his weapons replace the lightsaber as the coolest weapon in Star Wars. :D
