Preperations for Meet #17(October meet)

I can't go to this meet. Saturday test in my class.

Status is still so-so for me.

 

So exactly what is KRF?

 

it's a renaissance faire where performers re-enact medieval (sort of) times. there are "carnival" type shows, artisans, good food, and great home-made or store bought costumes. i think if you do a search for "renaissance fair" you might get a better idea than what i'm trying to stutter out

The worst part is that you stopped at the Dentist's office looking for directions.

 

I think I can make it to this one. I've never been to KRF, so I really want to make it.

This meet is still up in the air for me. I'm not sure I'll be able to get the money up.

 

One thing: Can we make the meet a bit later than noon? I have PSATs until 11:15.

 

Do they only take cash at KRF?

Most of my real money is in change.

 

My parents can't drive me out to the fair. Is anybody going to carpool?

I was just looking over the site for King Richards Fair. That place looks great! I hope they have real archery instead of those stupid dart arrows. How long are we going to be there?


BTW: Is there anybody I can carpool with? I don't mind taking the T out to somewhere, as long as I get to go. I'll also have to convince my parents that it is safe.

 

Carrie has offered to give people a lift if they can get to South Attleboro and I can give people a ride if they can get to the Campello Coummuter rail stop in Brockton. I would be willing to pick up a few people from the Quincy Adams Station if need be.

 

I've got an idea: I'll just swipe this retired old bus from UNH, drive hither and yon around Massachusetts, and pick all of you up. ROAD TRIIIIP!!!!

Yah, right. Dang, I haven't been keeping up with this thread much...got some catching up to do...but I'll try and leave meet day open.

I am willing to give people a ride. I somehow doubt your parent would want you to go to Carver with a 31 year old stranger though. Rightly so. I know I wouldn't allow that. Maybe Carrie can help you if you can get to her. Good luck.

 

Thanks Scott. My brother doubts they will allow me to take the train. I may not be able to come to the meet.

 

Are there any Rebels that live close to you? It would be a shame if you couldn't go.

verily it is true, i have offered a ride to those who can make it to south attleboro. the offer still stands. i've got 3 seats available.

also, you're all in for a treat, my dad has decided he wants to come along, as well as my friend from high school that i've known for about 10 years. she's a john williams nut (still trying to get her to watch SW). i hope that's ok to bring these two honorable guests.
