I agree. There's no way on Earth that this franchise will stop. It's waaaaay to profitable. I just hope that when Lucas *does* hand over the reigns, that he doesn't lose interest, and always has a veto on cheesy ideas. After all, it's his creative vision that has kept us all enthralled all these years.

 

People are on crack if they think there will never be another movie.

Its brillant marketing to say this is the last movie, but what it really comes down to us money. THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH MONEY TO BE MADE. Star Wars could easy be the next Bond series if Lucas wished. You know Fox, movie chains, toy makers, McCallum, ILM are all begging him to continue.

I expect that in 5 to 10 years we will be hearing Lucas giving permission for a new trilogy or plans to do single movies by different directors telling independent stories in the universe.

I am so not worried about this.

Yeah, definately the best one. Also Ep6 was directed by Richard Marquand.

Kirshner also directed the very dark Robocop2...
