    "King Features"?
    "Kings" versus "pirates"?
    "Kongs" versus "hobbits"?

    ;)

OT all day, no questions asked. It's not even a fair comparison.

I couldn't vote. I was in college when the PT was coming out, so I was at the perfect age to be interested in the OT, while still being enthusiastic about the new films. So I was right on that cusp between the trilogies.

But really, my signature says it all for me...

I love both, but when push comes to shove I'm all about the OT.

Uh, didnt get to the poll on time.

I grew up on the OT, and I pick the prequels by a hair.

I love how both trilogies complement each other. They both have advantages and disadvantages. In the PT you get to see a lot more. You get to find out just what Luke is talking about when he says he is on the planet that is farthest from the bright center of the universe. But the downside is you don't really get to absorb it much because there is so much stuff. In the OT, you don't get to see much, but what little you do see you get to absorb more of it. So for instance you have something like Jabba's Palace. Now, Jabba's palace isn't the most interesting place from an aesthetic point of view. It is just a big large building with a dark interior. And you are in that thing for about 40 minutes!! But as a result you get to explore every single little weird nook and cranny of that place. You get to experience in great detail the little weird mannerisms of the creatures.

Prequels all the way, with design, characters, effects, music, themes.

I like the OT. I love the PT.

To each his own, but I felt there was also an attractive innocence to the PT - certainly TPM - it may have been more of a melancholy kind of innocence, but it was certainly there. And it was certainly more so there than in almost any other movies coming out at that time. While all the other movies like the Matrix went dark and edgy, TPM had the courage to go lighthearted and traditional with a lot of color.

I'm a fan of both, but I definitely prefer the OT tbh. There's more classic/outstanding moments in that trilogy, and I like the characters more (not to say I don't like the PT characters), which is one of the five most important elements in the series for me. And while the plot may actually be more ambitious and interesting in the PT, a fairly big reason for why I like those films, the plot is NOT one of my five most important elements; though plot is important, I'm a characters guy more so than a plot guy, when it comes to Star Wars anyway.

And like others have said they're more fun and robust.

For me the PT is the classic trilogy.

I absolutely prefer the Original Trilogy, but I also really like the Prequels as well.

The entire saga is a rare instance where the main character is both a main protagonist and antagonist.

I like both a lot. Overall I would say the OT is better, but I like both! TPM and AOTC both have bad moments, while for the OT, I'd say the only flawed one was ROTJ.

Irrelevant comparison. Why always compare OT vs. PT? Why not individual movies? Why not parts/chapters of the movies? Neither the OT nor PT are fixed units, but are made up of individual chapters. If I were to rate them at all, which I don't like doing, it would possibly be ANH = AOTC = ROTS > ESB = TPM > ROTJ >>>>>> TFA (not accepted as part of the saga by me at this point)

Originals, I suppose. I think they're simply better films. But I have a lot of affection for the prequels. I think they added a lot to the OT and its my favorite Expanded Universe era.

Originals for the simple fun-loving adventure, Prequels for the narrative depth and intellectual intrigue.

I would include ROTJ as the OT's first movie to actually show more narrative intellect.

Difficult question. IMO the prequels had a much stronger story with generally weaker execution (TPM and AOTC in particular). That said, prequels by a hair, mainly due to my love for ROTS.

I like the OT story and acting but the content of the prequel era is more interesting (more worlds, more species, more Force users and different kinds of them other than Jedi and Sith, etc.)
