Preserve luminosity

    I understand that alot of the times it makes everything look terrible, but are there any time where any of you not check it? cause in this video I'm making I'm having trouble to decide if I should preserve or not
    this is what I mean

    I rarely preserve luminosity on lightsabers, lol, as you said, I just don't like the way it looks. I feel like it's not glowy enough...

    Of course, Ryan Weiber says you should, so most people do...but eh ;) I use Ryan's method almost exactly except for the luminosity part.

    Personal preference, I'm sure...

    I think it depends on the background of what looks best. If you have a bright background (like snow) then the unpreserved sabers look better. On a dark background preserved luminosity looks better in my opinion.
