Yeah, he was the executive producer of West Wing who took over as showrunner and writer when Sorkin left after Season 4.

My instincts say that whenever a movie shows up and promises to like define modern life or whatever to run for the exits.

Owen Wilson's in it? Forget it! I'd rather listen to chalk scraping across a blackboard for two hours than listen to his voice. It's the most nasal, grating voice in the movie industry.

Did this series really need to be a trilogy? The first one was only midly funny, second one just looked bad. This one looks worse. Poor Robert DeNiro.

I'm a little surprised it took them this long (6 years) to release another sequel (Meet The Parents was released in 2000 - 10 years ago).

The trailer looked pretty lame. I don't plans on seeing it.

    Movie Info

Genre: Drama, Action & Adventure, Mystery & Suspense, Science Fiction & Fantasy

Synopsis: "Oscar (R) winner Nicolas Cage (National Treasure, Ghost Rider) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Hellboy II) star in this supernatural action adventure about a heroic Crusader and his fellow soldier who must transport a woman accused of being a witch to a remote monastery. The arduous journey across perilous terrain tests their strength and courage as they discover the girl's secret and find themselves battling a terrifyingly powerful force that will determine the fate of the world. -- (C) Relativity Media"

Rated: PG-13 [See Full Rating] for thematic elements, violence and disturbing content

Running Time: 1 hr. 38 min.

In Theaters: Jan 7, 2011 Wide

    Distributor:Relativity Media

    Directed By: Dominic Sena

    Written By: Bragi F. Schut

    Cast: Nicholas Cage, Ron Perlman

    Poster: Fair

    Trailer: Not bad

Pro: Cage & Perlman have been good in the past (in Cage's case, the far past)

Con: Cage seems to choose his movie scripts when he's stoned

Verdict: Only watch if *you're* stoned

The worst part is that this story could have been done well if Hollywood was interested in quality, which of course, it isn't. Of course, release in early January means the studio knows this is a clunker.

My wife and I agree the trailer for this looks cool and fun, and we're looking forward to seeing it. What can we say? -- we're suckers for werewolves and witches and castles (oh my!). It certainly looks a sight better than Cage's National Treasure movies, or Ghost Rider, or his execrable Wicker Man remake.

Actually, the trailer did look interesting, and that's why it is a disappointing to see a 2 per cent critical rating. Are the critics dumping on Cage (which seems to be a sport these days) or is it really that bad? Hard to say.

This looks horrible. The only joke that looks like it might be even slightly funny- the "fish out of water/let's pick up chicks at Applebees" pun looks to be repeated over and over, which means that pesky things like plot and writing and acting don't have to take up space in the movie. And since everyone can see that pun for free in the trailer, there's no reason to actually see the film.

Verdict: When American male comedians get beyond the age of making movies with infantile males as heroes, their careers are in trouble. Yes, I mean you, Owen Wilson, Jim Carrey, Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler...

agreed. But then again, it looks like this is doing quite well at the box office, at least for now, so who knows?

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town -- a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack. A teenage girl goes out into the world for the first time - and has to battle for her life. Director Joe Wright weaves elements of dark fairy tales into the adventure thriller Hanna, filmed on location in Europe and Morocco. Hanna (played by Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan of Atonement, also directed by Joe Wright) is 16 years old. She is bright, inquisitive, and a devoted daughter. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a soldier; these come from being raised by her widowed father Erik (Eric Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of North Finland. Erik has taught Hanna to hunt, put her through extreme self-defense workouts, and home-schooled her with only an encyclopedia and a book of fairy tales. Hanna has been living a life unlike any other teenager; her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. But out in the world there is unfinished business for Hanna's family, and it is with a combination of pride and apprehension that Erik realizes his daughter can no longer be held back. -- (C) Focus Features Less"
