Amph Pride of Bagdad: a graphic novel by BKV

Brian K Vaughn's new orginal graphic novel came out today. It's about a pride of lions that escape from the zoo during the currenty Iraq war. And since it's from BKV it is sure to be filled with awesome and win because the man cannot write bad stuff.

Anyone get it yet?

 

No, but it sure sounds interesting.

 

It sold out of every shop in the city in a matter of hours. I wasn't able to get a copy.

 

Time for Amazon.

People are saying it's the best thing he's written. And with his pedegree that means...DAMN.

 

I will refuse to believe this is better than Runaways.


With that said, I'm looking to plunk down the money for it if I find it tomorrow. The comic shop I go to, to my knowledge, doesn't get too much traffic. Hopefully they'll have it.

I got it today.

Pretty good, but the ending felt a bit too abrupt.

 

It's good, but nowhere near Runaways or Y-The Last Man.
