As much as I loved seeing Bryan back in action, my stomach was doing somersaults on his landings after those dropkicks.

 

Bryan has probably been cleared for a while, but WWE were just waiting. Him threatening to leave at the end of his contract (no 90 day clause), with the risk of Bryan walking straight into NJPW or CMLL, meant they had to act.

To think, ZSJ could've been in 205 Live *shudders with fear*

 

I skipped through the slow motion WWE promo/acting stuff and got to the part where Bryan started throwing himself on his head. Uhh, I can't watch that.

 

It annoys me Shane, who hogs the spotlight too, doesn't face the same criticism that Stephanie gets.

 

Yeah, some of that stuff made me wince, but watching some of the stuff Sami and KO did, you notice most if not all of the punches and kicks never actually land on Bryan's head. I doubt even the Helluva kick actually connected with his head, just based on the camera shot they used.

Probably because Stephanie didn't take a seven year hiatus from the spotlight/company, so Shane doesn't feel as tiresome as Stephanie can be sometimes. Plus when Shane wrestles, yeah, he does too much high risk stuff (and I never need to see him fall from high **** such as HIAC again), but he also works hard to play to his opponents strengths and put the other guy over. And as much as I love Steph and hate to say it, Shane does have more natural charm than she does.

 

Hey, I'm one of Stephanie's biggest fans and it's hard for me to admit that truth.

IMO, the sensible thing to do is have Kane win it.
He'll likely retire this year, regardless of whether he gets into office or not.

He deserves a Mania moment, which would give him a nice send off rather than not appearing at all.

Then he & Undertaker go into 2019 HOF together

Personally I think it'll be Rusev, but Kane seems like a good choice too - if they don't decide to do a bait and switch and have it be Cena vs Kane at WM instead of Cena/Taker.

 

Yeah, the only bits that made me wince were the dropkicks because they were the only ones that seemed to have any real impact on his head.

Loved Ronda's eyeshadow last RAW but that was about it, still working the "happy to be here" angle...honestly think she'd work better as a Lesnar "heel" but stomping Steph/HHH should be fun!

 

I think with Rousey you have to let her be herself at first and do some old school long term 'character development'. WWE bought a ready made personality, they mustn't put her in silly angles or gimmick her up just yet, or ever, ideally. Let the audience decide if they want to boo or cheer her and don't label her a face or heel until it means something.

 

Final Strong Style card is up. No Rey Mysterio, which was predicted given the injury. Ospreay will face Liger now.
