Yeah, I don't have much sense that he'll last long either. But who knows?

He has a bad name, I hope they change it.

I can see the appeal part (since the WWE is still stuck in this current PG era), but what's wrong with his actual wrestling?

Those used to the current WWE Style (re: that of Cena, Undertaker, the returning Rock, Triple H, etc.,) will by and large only see him as a novelty high flying act like they do with Sin Cara, and to some extent Rey Mysterio.

That was my thinking on it too.

But given how popular Rey is it does make sense to bring in people to replace him who have a similar style.

Regardless of how his WWE career goes (as he said himself last night, "If worst comes to worst, I'll comeback."), it was a really, really niiiiiiiiiice PWG send off to Generico last night (and the overall show itself was entertaining as usual). It was great to experience that.

True, but Rey also had the advantage of working in WCW, where (before Bischoff and co. effed it up with the nWo), Cruiserweights and other smaller guys like Jericho, Benoit, Malenko and others tended to get a chance to shine. He really is the exception to the rule in WWE where most WWE fans (casual and hardcore) tend to view the high flyers as a novelty and a way to pass time before guys like Cena and Rock.

Killing the Cruiserweight Title and division with it was a mistake I think.

Maybe it's just me, but for a 20th anniversary show, this RAW just really lacked anything special to it.

I thought Raw sucked just for a normal week. For the 20th anniversary show it was really, really disappointing.

    From WrestlingObserver.com/F4Wonline.com:

--The lawsuit TNA filed against WWE for tampering in relation to Ric Flair's contract was dropped by TNA a few days back.

After seeing the Kaientai retrospective on WWE.com the other day and then rewatching the epic TAKA vs HHH match for the WWF title on Raw from 2000 reminded me that Raw used to be entertaining. Not that it's been entertaining since like 2002. Still, Rock's segments still provoke a brief period of amusement.

Mick Foley's HOF video. The flaws in WWE are many right now, but they still do these type of tribute videos very well:

Crap ending that gives me no desire to order Elimination Chamber or WrestleMania. Oh well that $65+ dollars that would have gone for 'Mania will go great towards some Doctor Who DVDs.

I have no desire to see Rock-Cena II either. I'll have to wait to see what Punk, Ziggler, and Bryan are doing before deciding to buy Wrestlemania or not.

Well Team HellNo (Bryan and Kane) retained the tag titles tonight. Whether they do so until 'Mania remains to be seen.

Yeah it seemed like they were teasing a break up in the Rumble match so I don't see them making it to Mania.

I've always been a big Jericho fan so him coming back was the highlight of the Rumble for me. If he sticks around until Mania that would be another plus as far as I'm concerned.

Although why they didn't just do the title switch if they were teasing a break up is a little bizarre (but that's WWE logic for you)

Yeah, I hope Jericho sticks around for a little bit. It was a fun surprise to see him back (wasn't actually expecting that one).

Think we'll see a 'pipebomb' from Punk tomorrow?

I am slightly suprised to see The Rock win, if only because it means he has to do house shows for 3 months (one assumes he is holding it until Wrestlemania) which I didn't think he would have been committed enough to do. If he really has all this free time and is happy to give 100% of it to WWE, good on him I say.

Now he just needs to change the damn belt!!

Wrestling is really bad right now.. The wrestlers are all lame, with lame gimmicks and even worse, almost all lack charisma and proper mic skills...

wrestling has fallen off big time.. Its unwatchable now.
