Match length is his reason.

The big matches in Japan, which end up getting 5 stars, go for 35 minutes +. WWE, 20-25 minutes for big main events like Cena v Styles. The last WWE 5 star match was Punk v Cena at MITB 2011 and, if I remember correctly, the match went for nearly an hour.
