Styles v K.O finished was altered half way through the match according to reports. Reddit speculates (and is probably right) Vince got confirmation Jericho was turning, so the finished was switched.

But, back to real wrestling, the G1 was insane today. Just crazily good.

Report saying that the reason Nak vs Cena is happening now is because of Cena's limited schedule, and also because it's believed he'll be on RAW in the fall.

Which seems about right if the plan is to have Roman vs Cena at Mania.

 

Still should have been held until SummerSlam.

 

This could potentially be Vince's test for Nakamura - can he draw the ratings. If so, Shinny will no doubt get a title run in the later half of the year. (makes sense, too, if Styles v Nakamura happens at Mania)

Regardless, SummerSlam is going to be a car wreck. The multi-man matches have the potential to be two giant cluster*****

Nagata is being jobbed out in his final G1. A Block is pretty crowded at the top, but it will no doubt go down to Tanahashi v Naito as the decider.

I still see no one, other than Naito, winning the whole thing.

As for tomorrow, does Juice get the upset against Okaka? We shall see.

 

Well see on August the 11th for Nagata. He faces Fale, and Fale already seems to be put in his usual position of getting close to the final before being spoiled. Nagata will be that spoiler just as Liger was the Spoiler for Taichi. Don't like that it's the same story so soon after Liger, but the idea is for the old guy to get the final win in his last match against a hated heel.

 

I was meant to ask you, who do you think Okada faces at KOPW?

 

No idea. I really don't want it to be Omega again. That would be 4 times in less than a year at all the major events. That is unless Omega were to win and it be Naito vs Omega at WK. Which is possible. At the same time I don't think they'll want to take the opportunity away of Okada beating Hash's reign. Which wouldn't be till November. Right now I'm leaning on Omega being the spoiler that gives Elgin the win of the block.

If I had to pick someone, maybe Suzuki. He's pretty much the last one who has the chance to beat him, other than Evil.

 

Elgin could be scheduled for a US title shot after beating Omega. EVIL, potentially, has a shot at NEVER, too.

Tama or Juice, in theory, but that's just madness.

 

Juice is a possibility. We'll find out tomorrow.

 

Enzo, I feel, will be gone pretty soon.

A stripper on Twitter has name dropped him in a serious of tweets. He apparently was at a strip club, being rude to the staff and strippers; kept bragging the amount of money he had and being all round obnoxious.

Starting to see why Roman kicked him off the bus and out of the locker room.

 

I can definitely see him getting put back in NXT if nothing else. He's a far better talker than wrestler and after the sympathy from his bad head injury (was it Payback 2016 that happened?) and the gimmick wore off he was always gonna be on borrowed time. He'd be a far better manager than wrestler.

G1 has been pretty much in the "House Show" portion of its run for the past few days. We aren't going to be seeing anything top notch probably until near the end now. You can tell the guys are slowing it down a notch, which I don't blame them.

More interested in the numbers now anyway.
