Problem with Disk I!

I bought Episode I DVD last Tuseday (and who didn't?) And there was a problem with Disk I. Most of the time it wouldn't even come up to the main menu. I tryed all my other DVDs and they all worked fine, it's just Disk I. I took the DVD back and got another one, and it did the same thing!

Has anybody else had this problem?

Yeah, I did at first, but then after I played Disk II, Disk I played fine. I haven't had any problems since. I assumed it was the DVD software (I installed a DVD-ROM that same day), since I also had to reboot during that process.

 

Same thing with me. If I just turn on the player then put disk I in, it won't work, I put another disk in, and then disk I, and it works fine, sometimes.

I guess this is a wide spread problem.

 

Do you have a DVDROM or just a DVD unit?

 

I have both. So far it hasn't given me any trouble with the DVD-ROM and I can live with the player problems.

I think this is a wide spread problem. Might have happened when it was made.

there are apparently scratches on most nz ep1 d1 dvds, i have only looked at disc 2 though, so not sure how it effects disc 1................ill look tonight maybe

 

Wow, I didn't know that about scratches on Disc 1. Was this released somewhere?

 

I'm not able to watch the submarine anamantics on disk 2. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yipe! Looks like Lucas Film has made a big slip up!

This has to be a problem during the buring process, but I don't know about the scratches.

Maybe we should write Lucas Film and let them know. Anybody know how?

 

Has LucasFilm made a public statement yet concerning this?
