Not impressed Kylogram looks like an evil Aardvark with a silly saber.
Seriously having a poor mans Darth Vader as the villain is not a good sign

He's not a poor mans Vader. His character isn't anything like Vader besides the aesthetic in some ways.

Lol. We'll see. . . we'll see. . . I do kinda like how the new villain is a collector and student of the Sith. . .which means he's a Star Wars nerd just like us!! ;)

Yes but Vader wore a mask because he had too. He couldn't breath without it, no other reason.

This is more JJ having a Lightbulb moment "Hey that Darth Vader was popular, why not do another villain with a mask"

Well, the aesthetic is keeping in line with the SW aesthetic from the go--- samurai/kabuki/medieval knight meets Flash Gordon. I think they nailed it with Kylo Ren by keeping it raw. It kind of bucks this trend of ultra-buff, tech'd out, superheroes who look like walking tanks a la Batman or Bane in the Dark Knight.

Neat! Some of the Revan images look very Struzan-esque.

So if the mask isn't absolutely necessary to one's health, they shouldn't wear it? Guess we'd better tell the stormtroopers to take off their helmets, quick! :p

You don't have to have a physical handicap to wear a helmet. :)

Maybe he just doesn't want to get shot in the face?

I probably would've liked the Kylo design better had I never seen Revan. Looks been there done that, lacking the wow factor I got when I first saw Maul. Not that it's bad or anything, but I'm definitely not getting an "OMG" feeling from it.

We still don't know why he is wearing a mask. Maybe Kylo has a huuuge scar that hes trying to hide.

I think they've found something unique, Ren's appearance is reminiscent of Vader, Grevious, Revan etc.. without copying the same characteristic's.

I'm getting an OMG feeling from the fact that I get to see Darth Revan in a live action Star Wars movie.

    Thanks Darth Chiz.

    Here's from another thread posting:

Oh and by the way my boss has been passing by my office very slowly today.

I guess he is curious as to why I have a SW shirt on and my coffee in a SW mug.

    LOL

I like the fact that his helmet seems to be leather (actually, I liked that from way back, when we saw that version with the yellow markings, and this newest pic just makes me like it more.) It's something a bit new for SW, while still remaining true to the general SW aesthetic. And, it seems they're not forgetting that SW is supposed to be based heavily in fantasy, rather than just sci-fi. The cross-guard saber, the leather helmet... it all feels very medieval, and I like it!

What if they abandon the whole sith name stuff. What if his name is just KYLO REN.

Prevent the mask material from bleaching in the sun and rusting in the rain?

He likes the front but hates the back?

    Looks neat?

Couldn't decide what style he wanted?

His mom made him his sith cloak?

The possibilities are endless, my friend.
