Masks are representation. We all wear them. Whether painted on or placed upon, masks are important in every human culture. There are many reasons for masks as well. Hiding or altering one's identity and/or creating fear in one's adversaries. This is a good archetypical look for our main villain. Very Sith-like.

I don't get a "chrome" feeling from the "chrome" trooper. Nothing shiny and silver as one would expect from chrome.

 

You have to be careful with chrome in design work, if you aren't careful it can come off looking plastic and cheap.

 

This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of TIE's without 'red bit's', it will soon see the end of the wait for the trailer!

Consuming worlds instead of blowing them up? Using them for raw materials, something along the lines of World Devastators from Dark Empire Legends.
