prop making sites

Does anyone know of any good sci-fi prop making sites...in addition to the star wars ones??

Specifically, I am looking to make Deckard's pistol from Blade Runner(among other things)

you should probably check out the Costuming and Props section, also under fan Activities. TYhey may be of more help

 

I believe that was a custom molded item, probably resin.

Try google searching it.

 

Last year I got a really crappy resin cast from Ebay for about $40... it was molded with clear resin and painted black with silver detailing... the handle was clear, the basterd said it would turn amber over time(ya, right)

I wouldn't suggest getting that one... well... maybe for a stunt prop... but it breaks from being dropped from two feet.

There are modle kits but I don't know where to find them or how much they would cost.

I'm looking for a bladerunner neon umbrella myself.

 

I have been searching like crazy for a grapple gun or how to make one. With no luck!
Not even google can save me on this one!
