I assume by proton torp you are refering to the ones in ANH... I would guess an orange circle followed by light trails... Add some shining effects if you can, but that might require additional plugins...

You do know those are photon torpedos, right?

They sort of look alike I guess... And the torpedos used in EP I looked remarkably similar to quantum torpedos...

Strange tho since in games protons are supposed to be blue.

And isn't a photon torpedo really only a lens flare with maybe some Shine effects thrown on?

Actually I think only quantum's produce lens flare. Photons are just a bunch of orange elipses rotating around...

I don't think those are protons in TPM... Since in ANH Luke blew up the death star with a proton, the two should look the same if the warheads match; they don't.

    Maybe those were space bombs?

Anyhow, just draw a gradiant blue object with some lens flare... At the speed those things are moving I doubt anyone would see any deatils anyway.

Well all material on the Naboo N-1 fighter says it's proton torpedoes. Everything out there other than ANH states that proton torps have a blue smoke trail.

Don't forget that TPM and ANH are far apart story-wise. They're most likely two different types of torpedos, with the red ANH trail probably signifying a more powerful torpedo.

I asked this same question a number of months ago and Colin from peerless productions made this for me.

Yes, I know, it's rather cartoony, but might work. You never know.
