    Title: Provider
    Timeframe: Three years after the NJO
    Characters: Kenos Ossinian (OC), Jasila Volova (OC)
    Summary: Jedi Knight Kenos Ossinian fought hard during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. A battle hardened warrior, there wasn't a mission he couldn't fufill for the New Republic.

    But now his girlfriend needs him to go above and beyond the call of the Jedi Order--he needs to get a job. Will his strength and discipline give him success in the real galaxy?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Kenos sighed as he entered the doorway to his apartment. Another day of wandering Coruscant, helping at random places and searching for Force-sensitive people to refill the Jedi ranks had proved uneventful, and he debated visiting Ossus for some hardcore training. But as the inch thick door slid into the wall and the aroma of perfume wafted across his face, he remembered just why he?d accepted Master Skywalker?s monotonous assignment.
    ?Honey, I?m home,? he said in a sing-song voice. When no one answered, he called out again. ?Jay, are you home??
    The reply came from the kitchen. ?I?m here, Kenos.?
    After stopping in the bedroom to remove his outer cloak, Kenos headed towards the kitchen. When he got there, he found Jasila typing on a datapad with two others on the table in front of her. He approached and kissed her cheek. ?Hi, beautiful,? he greeted.
    ?Hey there, handsome,? she returned.
    ?What are you doing?? he asked as he began probing the kitchen?s cabinets for something to snack on.
    ?Paying the bills.? She patted the seat next to her. ?Come sit with me.? Kenos pulled his head out of a pantry and did as ordered. As he sat, Jasila gazed at the pantry door he?d left open, then sent a reproachful look at the Jedi.
    Kenos glanced over his shoulder and blushed. ?Sorry.? A telekinetic burst closed the pantry. ?My mother would be happy to know that you?re domesticating me.?
    Jasila squinted. ?I?m sure she would, but I wish she and Master Tionne hadn?t left so much work for me.?
    ?Be nice. I am trying.?
    She returned her gaze to the datapad as she took his hand and placed it to her lips. ?I know, babe, and I appreciate it.? Sighing, she turned the datapad towards him. ?See that? That?s the Net service bill.?
    Kenos grimaced. ?Ouch.?
    Jasila nodded. ?And that?s just one of them. I need you to do something for me. For us, really.?
    ?Anything. What do you need??
    She closed her eyes and massaged them with her left hand. ?Earlier today, there was an accident at the parking garage, and my speeder got wrecked. The other guy?s ran off, so my insurance will have to cover the damage, and the speeder will be in the shop for a month. In the mean time, I?ll have to rent one, which won?t be covered by the insurance because I got the cheapest plan in the history of the galaxy.?
    Opening her eyes, she gave Kenos a slight smile. ?I realize that you Jedi serve the Force and the Republic?s citizens, but being the champion of peace and justice doesn?t pay the bills. Your lightsaber?s a major turn on, but you need to put it down and get a job.?
    It took all the self discipline Kenos could muster to not laugh in her face. He managed to go no further than dropping his jaw. ?What? Get a job?? He couldn?t restrain himself any more, and a chuckled escaped him. ?I kind of already have one.?
    Jasila frowned slightly and a bit of hurt flickered through her eyes. ?No, I?m serious, babe,? she pleaded. ?A commander?s salary isn?t bad, but we need more than that pittance the Republic gives you. Unless you don?t like the conveniences of electricity and three dimensional Holonet access.?
    ?Why don?t we just call my mother?? Kenos suggested. ?She?ll help.?
    Her frown deepened. ?I like that idea as much as you like the thought of calling my father and asking for help.?
    The thought sent a shiver down his spine. Jasila?s father hadn?t been a fan of the Jedi during the war and took every chance he had to bad talk Kenos. ?Okay, okay, fair enough.? He sighed, rubbed his forehead,
    The next day, Kenos flopped onto the couch in the living room with a disgusted sigh. Loosening the top three buttons of his tunic, he leaned back and removed his boots without his hands. It was the height of laziness, and something that would make Master Luke very crabby, but he used the Force to send his boots to their proper location in the bedroom.
    Jasila?fresh out of the shower and still toweling her damp hair?walked into the room and smiled widely when she noticed Kenos was home. "Hey, you," she greeted and leaned down to give him a quick kiss. Cinching up the thin robe that covered her, she laid herself on the couch, placing her bare feet in Kenos's lap. ?Any luck today??
    Absently, Kenos took one of her feet and began massaging it. ?No,? he said disappointedly. ?No one was willing to hire me except for one place.?
    ?Did you?lower?take the job??
    Kenos moved his hands down. ?No. Here??
    ?Right there.? She frowned. ?Why not??
    ?You don?t want me working at that place. I?d be the only one there with my shirt on.?
    Jasila?s eyes lit up with understanding. ?Oh. Yeah, good call. So?ow, too hard?no one else was even hiring??
    ?Sorry. Well, no one was hiring me. I think they assumed I was sent by NRI to monitor them.?
    Kenos took her other foot as she replied. ?Maybe tomorrow you should keep your Jedi-ness a secret. That?s probably what scared them.?
    He nodded. ?Yeah, you?re probably right. Alright??he tossed her foot away and lifted his own??it?s my turn.?
    Grinning, she sat up and planted a kiss on his cheek. ?Afterwards.? She stood and began to walk away.
    Kenos frowned in confusion. ?After what??
    Jasila didn?t offer an answer. She just sent a wink over her shoulder and let her robe fall into a puddle on the floor.
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    A few days later, Kenos decided that Jasila had indeed been correct about keeping his Force-sensitivity a secret. The very next application he made?as a speeder mechanic?was accepted much more warmly than his others had been.

    Well, perhaps the fact that Kenos had stretched bits of the truth?and left out others?had helped him get the job too. When asked about his experience with mechanics, Kenos told the manager that as a pilot during the war he had done a lot of his own maintenance. Had Tina, his astromech, not been returned to the New Republic military and given a memory wipe, she would have undoubtedly reminded him as to which one of them had done most of the work on their fighter.

    And the fact that he?d allowed Tina to do all the work on their ship was coming back to haunt him now. He?d been given a speeder with a minor steering problem, and it was stumping him. The speeder?s owner had complained that the steering had suddenly become too sensitive?meaning that when he tried to turn the speeder ninety degrees, it would really turn one hundred and five.

    The problem itself wasn?t terribly complicated; in fact it was close to a problem that he?d had Tina fix on his X-wing years ago. He remembered that all it took to correct the issue was a tightening of the drive control?s offsetting sub-atomic magnetic coils. The problem was that Kenos didn?t know how much tightening was required. So he placed his hydrospanner against the left coil and shrugged mentally. After three strong twists he called it quits and moved on to the next job.

    An hour and a half later, Kenos was called?if that is the word to describe his name being shrieked by an infuriated manager?to his boss?s office, where he received a verbal reprimand the likes of which he hadn?t experienced since basic training.

    ?You see that?!? The boss pointed out his transparisteel window to a small tow speeder that was hauling another damaged speeder. Kenos recognized the damaged one as the speeder he?d fixed. ?We have you to thank for that, Ossinian! You made those coils so tight the driver couldn?t turn his speeder at all! He slammed right into another speeder right outside of the shop, and now he?s talking about suing us! I managed to save us, though, by

    Luckily for Kenos, Jasila found the story of his being fired unendingly funny. The fact that it made her laugh until she cried and provided her with a lifetime of ammunition to embarrass him was what had prevented her from killing him.

    Still, she?d made it clear that he was to go out and find another job, so he?d obliged. Once again, hiding the fact that he was a Jedi made finding another job a small task.

    Adjusting his white apron, Kenos continued to restock the ingredients the cooks would use for their dishes. It was something to do for the week or so it would take him to learn the Rodian cuisine the restaurant required of its cooks, but the work was menial and the things the Rodians found edible made his human stomach churn. He?d thrown up twice in the first two days of working there.

    But on the third day, Kenos was not in the mood to move containers of slimy eel-like lima creatures. An hour into the day, he already felt light-headed and nauseated. When a co-worker accidentally spilled another plasteel box full of the swarming black amphibians in front of him, it was more than his stomach could handle. Jerking forward, he emptied the contents of his stomach into the box of limas, adding his breakfast to the slop they lived in.

    After two and a half minutes of evacuating his guts, he stood up and wiped his mouth.

    ?Whoa,? one of his Rodian co-workers said. ?Hey, are you okay??

    Kenos was just about to nod when the urge to vomit took him over again. Afterwards, his co-worker helped him to his speeder. ?Get some rest,? he advised. ?See you tomorrow.?

    Kenos grimaced. No you won?t. I quit.

    ~~~~~~
    Now this is something I can handle, Kenos thought a few days later. This new job was demanding physically, but Kenos found that as no problem at all. Unloading cargo ships and transferring their cargo to storage containers was just the sort of thing he could see himself doing in another life. Or maybe even this one. It was relaxing when compared to the always on-call lifestyle of a Jedi Knight.
    He was driving a loader full of Sluisi foodstuffs, guiding it through the spaceport to the designated drop off point, when alarm blasted through the Force to assail him. Jerking the loader to a sudden stop, he looked around for the trouble and found a crowd gathering near the berthing of a large freighter. Kenos hit the accelerator and brought the loader as close to the crowd as possible.
    When he reached the fringe of the crowd, he hopped off the small repulorcraft and attempted to pierce the throng of gathered beings on foot. He made his way through and found himself at the site of some sort of accident. A container was flipped onto its back, and the small form of a Chadra-Fan?s head was just visible beneath it. ?What?s going on?? he asked to the people around him.
    A Verpine buzzed an answer, then a concerned looking Bothan translated. ?Flippy crashed his loader and got trapped under the container. They?re brining a lifter to save him.? She shook her head. ?I don?t know how long it?ll take to get here.?
    Kenos sighed. This was going to cost him his job, but at least it would save someone?s life. Extending a hand, he slipped into the current of the Force and used it to lift the container a meter in the air. He pushed it a few more meters away before letting it fall to the deck with a crash.
    The people around Kenos gawked at him. He looked back and them and gestured to the Chadra-Fan. ?Um, help him?? Most of the crowd spurred into action and helped recover the Chadra-Fan.
    Suddenly, Kenos heard his named being yelled across the port by his immediate superior. ?Ossinian!?
    Kenos closed his eyes and sagged in anticipation of another firing. ?Son of a??
    ?Better hope the Force is with you,? interrupted the Bothan. ?Mister Boken doesn?t like the Jedi. Some of us think he was Peace Brigade during the war.?
    ?Thanks,? he replied as he turned and headed to Boken?s office.
    Jasila and Kenos entered the party and were both struck by the size of it.
    ?There sure are a lot of people here,? Kenos commented as he looked over the crowd.
    ?Yeah,? Jasila agreed. ?I guess she invited all the squadron?s support staff too.?
    ?Doesn?t matter,? Kenos said with a sidelong glance at his date. ?You?re still the best looking one here.?
    Jasila grinned despite herself. She nudged her Jedi escort with an elbow, ruffling the black cape he was wearing over his standard Jedi robes. His ceremoniously polished lightsaber gleamed from his belt. ?You?re not so hideous yourself. I?m thinking about temporarily repealing my earlier prohibition of conjugal activities.?
    His eyebrows raised. ?And it was put so eloquently. I?m impressed.?
    She sent him a wink and turned back to the situation at hand. ?All right, here?s the game plan. On my mark, you break to starboard and split-s through the crowd to mingle. I?ll do the same to port, and after ten minutes we?ll rendezvous right in the middle of that furball. Copy??
    Kenos nodded. ?Deuce copies.?
    ?Mark.?
    Jasila stepped to her left and entered the flowing crowd. Luckily for her, the party?s guest of honor?Rapier Three, Ninal Al?tral?was on her side of the room and was standing next to the bar with her husband. Jasila fought the crowd and made her way towards the Bothan couple.
    Ninal spotted her approaching squadron commander and smiled. ?Commander, you made it!?
    ?Of course,? Jasila responded. ?I would never pass up a chance to celebrate the retiring of one of my pilots.? She turned to Ninal?s husband and extended a hand. ?Jasila Volova.?
    He smiled and shook her hand with a soft Bothan paw. ?Nice to meet you, ma?am. I?m Lieutenant Cors Al?tral.?
    ?Please, no formalities here. Aren?t you part of the support staff??
    ?I am. It?s how Ninal and I met.? He grinned and looked past Jasila, into the crowd. ?In fact, most of my men are here now.?
    Jasila turned around and spotted the group of uniformed men that were the techs. They were loud, obviously already drunk, and roaring some sort of Corellian drinking song. Not surprisingly, Kenos was among them, holding up a tumbler of whiskey and joining in the music.
    Jasila half turned to the Bothans. ?Excuse me.? She moved her gaze to Kenos and let her annoyance flare. With the tumbler poised at his lips, he cringed and looked across the room directly at her. Raising her eyebrows warningly, she extended an index finger. You?re driving, she thought, hoping she wasn?t overestimating his ability to read her. He must have understood what she was trying to say because he lowered the tumbler and nodded.
    Clearing her throat, Jasila turned back to the Al?trals. ?Sorry about that.?
    They were both chuckling. ?It?s okay,? Cors said and gestured to the bar. ?Can I get you something??
    ?Some whiskey, please,? Jasila responded with a smug smile.
    When Cors left, Ninal gestured to Kenos. ?Is that your husband, Commander??
    Jasila shook her head and graciously accepted a glass from Cors. ?Thank you. No, he?s not my husband. Not yet, at least.?
    ?How long have you two been together??
    ?Not long enough to be thinking about marriage, Kenos would say.?
    Ninal hissed a laugh. ?Afraid of settling down??
    She sipped at her drink. ?Not at all. He just doesn?t want to rush into it. His parents only knew each other for a few weeks before getting married, and he thinks that?s why they divorced shortly after he started his Jedi training. Besides, I?m not in any rush.? She smirked as she raised her glass to her lips again. ?But I?m ready whenever he decides to ask.?
    ~~~~~~
    Kenos glanced at the chrono on his wrist and decided it was time to excuse himself from the group and make his way to the center of the crowd. Jasila arrived a moment later, and he sent her a stern look. ?You?re late, Commander,? he said.

    She gave him a stern look in return. ?Commanders are never late, Major.?

    Kenos squinted and looked her over. Her cheeks were flushed and

    Kenos sighed as he parked the truck outside of another pharmaceutical building. Reaching behind him, he grabbed a sealed case in the back seat and exited the speeder. He walked to the side entrance of the building, which was a dozen meters or so down an alley, and knocked on the door. A second later, a human male answered, a wad of credits in his hand. He grabbed the case from Kenos and thrust the money at him. ?Thanks,? he said quickly, then shut the door with an echoing slam.

    Kenos frowned. That was strange. What was ever weirder was the fact that this was the third delivery that had gone that way. Passing it off to busy pharmacists, he shrugged and began to walk back to the speeder. Just as he exited the alley and stepped onto the sidewalk, a man in a dark cloak stepped up to him.

    ?Quiet,? he said as he brandished a blaster pistol. ?Step over here.? He motioned with the blaster to the small market next to the pharmacist. Kenos had left his lightsaber at home, so he decided to do as the man said.

    The man led him through the market, which was closed at this time of night. In the back, in what was labeled a store room, was a brightly lit room occupied by a man in a suit and a table with one chair. The armed man pushed the chair towards Kenos. He and the other man flashed badges. ?Coruscant Security. Have a seat.?

    The second man spoke as Kenos sat. ?So, how long have you been a delivery boy, son??

    Kenos frowned. ?Uh?about four hours. What is this??

    The suited man snorted. ?Started trafficking just to make a few quick creds, right??

    ?Um, yeah. How?d you know??

    Angry, the first man moved forward and slammed his hand on the table. ?And you don?t care how you do it, do you? Have you ever seen what that spice does to kids? It ain?t pretty, son.?

    Kenos?s eyes went wide. ?Spice? What the hell are you talking about??

    The first man looked back at his partner and snorted. ?Now he wants to play dumb, Ron.? Ron laughed, and his partner grinned. Then he turned to Kenos with blazing eyes. ?I oughtta bust you right now and take you in to be locked up with the glitbiters and swoopies.? His expression eased a bit and he leaned back. ?But I can tell you?re a good kid. One who just got mixed up with the wrong people. So I?m gonna cut you a break. You help us bust your boss, and we?ll act like none of this ever happened.? He held his hands up, palms toward the ceiling. ?What do you say, kid??

    Kenos put a hand to his head and tried to wrap his mind around what the hell was happening. Kont was a drug dealer? Now that he?d started to think about it, that didn?t come as much of a surprise. The late hours, the dark alleys, the rapid transactions?it all made sense now.

    But now Kenos was involved in it, and it was possible that he could get in trouble. He thought about telling the police that he was a Jedi, maybe even make up a story that he was on an undercover operation for the Order. No?that would just cause more problems than it would solve.

    ?Okay,? he said after a minute. ?What do you want me to do??

    Ron pulled something from a pocket. It was a small rectangular object that Kenos recognized as a small holorecorder. ?Take this with you tomorrow night when you go back to your base. If your boss is there, act like everything?s normal. When he gives you another case of drugs, leave like your going to make the delivery, then hit that button. We?ll take care of the rest.?

    ?Why can?t I just tell you where he is? It?s right up the street.?

    ?Because, son, we need proof that he?s giving you drugs with intent to sell it.? He shook the holorecorder. ?This baby will record the whole thing. We don?t need video; just the audio will do, so put it in a pocket.? Kenos took the object and slipped it into his vest.

    The other officer slapped his shoulder. ?You?re doing the right thing, kid. Good luck to you.? Ron nodded, and they both left.

    Kenos sighed and wondered when this month was going to end.

    Kenos tapped the recorder for the forty-eighth time to make sure it was still in his vest. It was, so he stopped being a womp rat and stepped into Kont?s warehouse. He went straight upstairs to Kont?s office, where he would receive his first delivery assignment. Once he opened the door, Kont looked up and smiled. ?Evening, Ossinian.?

    ?How?s it going?? Kenos responded coolly.

    ?Fine.? He stood and pointed to a small machine near his desk. ?Caf??

    Kenos knew he really didn?t need anything to increase his heart rate, but to deny might look suspicious. ?Yeah, please.?

    Kont handed him a mug and sat back down. ?No deliveries for right now. All my vehicles are out. So, sit back and relax.?

    Suppressing a smile at the suggestion, Kenos sank in his chair a little bit and sipped the caf. As soon as he swallowed it, he wished he hadn?t. His vision blurred, and his head suddenly tripled its weight. Struggling to stay conscious, he dropped the mug. He was out before it touched the ground.

    ~~~~~~
    When he woke, he found himself being supported by two of Kont?s men. Through his slowly clearing vision, he noticed that he was in the warehouse with Kont and a few other people.
    ?What is this?? someone, a woman, asked. Kenos let his head roll towards the voice and saw that it was a very distressed looking Jasila. She was wearing the silk pajamas he?d given her for her last lifeday, which Kenos found to be terribly funny in this situation.
    Kont grimaced. ?Don?t act like you don?t know. Your boyfriend here is trying to set me up.? He stepped forward and slammed a fist in Kenos?s gut. He grunted and felt the wind fly from him. Apparently, the drug didn?t dull his pain receptors.
    Kont kept hitting him while Jasila yelled. ?What are you talking about? We?re not trying to set anyone up!?
    After another hit across the jaw, Kont wiped sweat from his forehead. He reached into Kenos?s vest, pulled the recorder out, and held it up in front of the Jedi?s face. ?Is this what you were supposed to send to your Security buddies?? He laughed and placed his thumb over one of the recorder?s button. ?Let?s just turn this thing off, so you and I can have a word or two in private.? He stabbed the button with his thumb and flung the recorder away.
    ?Boss,? the Weequay holding Jasila asked. ?What about her??
    Kont turned an uncaring gaze on her. ?She may not have know anything before, but she does now. Throw her in the speeder and get rid of her. You know how.?
    The alien grinned and began dragging Jasila out of the warehouse. ?No!? she screamed, pelting the Weequay with punches. He weathered the blows and continued walking.
    Kenos felt some strength return to his limbs. He struggled against the men holding him, but they hadn?t taken a large sedative in the last few minutes. They kept him in place while Kont drew a pistol and leveled it at Kenos. ?Sorry, Ossinian, but you?re bad for business.?
    Kenos felt his mind racing. How was he going to get out of this? The Force seemed so far away in his current mental state. Closing his eyes, he shut his mind up and imagined himself harnassing the Force. In his mind, he dodged the incoming blaster bolt, flung his captors into Kont, and recovered the blaster.
    With his eyes still shut, he felt the blaster bolt coming and put his plan into action. His limbs, however, didn?t follow his mind?s speed, and he felt the blaster bolt scorch his shoulder. He screamed, and he felt the men around him let go of his arms.
    A loud voice thundered through the warehouse. ?Coruscant Security! Freeze!?
    Officers in black armor, hardly visible in the dark warehouse, stormed in, pointing weapons at the three men. Kenos felt his knees give out and fell to the ground. An officer helped him back up when he felt he could stand on his own. ?Sir, are you okay??
    Kenos didn?t answer. Reaching out to the Force for strength, he ran after Jasila.
    Kenos ran out of the warehouse and saw no one. The only movement in the dark, drenched street was a speeder that was racing down the street at high speeds. Jasila had to be on it, Kenos knew, and he tensed his legs to sprint down the street after it. Before he could burst forward, the speeder careened to the left, running off road and slamming into a building. The front end disintegrated as the repulsor engine smashed through the cab. The wreckage was lit dimly by the remnants of a streetlight, and in the soft light Kenos could see the dead body of the driver. Given the severity of the crash, no one else could have survived.
    Kenos felt his whole body go hollow. His knees quit working, and he sank to the ground as he realized that Jasila was dead. The thought slammed him and knocked paralysis into his body. He just stared at the ground, forgetting even to breathe, while emotions ran rampant through his mind. How could this have happened again? The Force had taken Numa away from him years ago, and now it had done it to him again. Why? Why was he constantly being punished? Hadn?t he been the Force?s faithful servant long enough?
    Something thick fell onto his shoulders, breaching his paralysis enough to allow his eyes to glance left. A blanket had been wrapped around him, and the sweetest voice he?d ever heard was whispering into his ear. ?Kenos, we should head inside,? Jasila said. ?Neither of us is dressed for this weather.?
    Turning his head slowly, Kenos began to turn his eyes toward the ghost standing over him and damned the Force again. Was this a parade of his dead loves as lifeless visions? Was Numa standing next to her? While the Force was at it, why not bring back all his ex-girlfriends? When he was fourteen, there was Ni?ley, and she had died in the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. What about Sheela, the girl who had only trained for a month before realizing the Jedi life wasn?t for her? Considering his track record with keeping lovers alive, she had probably perished in the war too.
    Then Jasila?s ghost did something he hadn?t thought possible. She crouched and actually reached out to physically touch him, lightly probing the bruises on his face. Her skin was warm, and he actually felt her breath on his cheek as she spoke. ?He sure did a number on you,? she said with a small smile. ?Are you feeling okay??
    Kenos stared at her. This wasn?t possible. It must have all been his imagination. She was dead?wasn?t she? There was only one way to find out. He leaned forward and kissed her. When her lips hit his, electricity coursed through him, and her sweet taste blasted through the numbness within him. A new thought flared into his mind, casting away the hold his emotions had put on his muscles: It?s her! It?s really her!
    He grinned as he continued to kiss her and scooped her up into his arms. She laughed in surprise and nuzzled against him. ?Well, I guess you are.?
    After two days dedicated almost entirely to sleep, Jasila and Kenos walked hand-in-hand through their parking complex.
    ?Listen,? Kenos said quietly. ?I want to apologize for disappointing you over the past few weeks. The real galaxy is nothing like I thought it would be. I thought the Jedi life was hard, but now I know that life isn?t any easier for anyone else.? He glanced at the ground. ?You know, I was kind of looking forward to being the provider as well as the protector for once.?
    Jasila let go of his hand to hug him as they walked. ?Stop it. So you?re not cut out to be a Rodian cook or sales associate in a department store. You?re still a Jedi Knight, a magnificent lover, and the best friend a girl could ask for.?
    Despite himself, Kenos blushed. ?That won?t pay for a damaged speeder, though.?
    ?Don?t worry about that. We?ll find a way. How much are lightsabers going for these days??
    ?Touch my blade and I will go dark on you so fast??
    I just want to say again, this was a great fic. More people should be reading it, no lie.
    The paceing was great, and the lenght was good, but I still want more. So, will we get to see the continued adventures of Jedi Knight Kenos?
    I have three other fics about Kenos (links are in my bio.) The next fic I have in the works happens before this one and is mostly about Jasila.
    dude, Conrad!! how did i not know you were such a good writer? i'm in love with your two OCs and when i get a chance, i'm most definately reading the other stories you have about them....but to comment about this one:
    awesome! you put in just enough cool small details of movement, character, and dialog to make this an endearing, addictive, & completely mezmerizing fic! i was moved by the emotions (from feeling down for Kenos about the bummer jobs to the highs of a great relationship between him & Jasila) and captivated by the action and pace of the story!
    =D= wonderful job, dude! :)
