Evan, IN * Proxy Voting Procedure *

As was pointed out in the previous thread, we don't want to over-complicate things. In that spirit, here's how things will go down. Voting begins this coming Sunday, Jan. 7 and ends the day of the GM, Saturday, Jan. 13. If it's alright with her, we'll just ask Earwen to post the results when she gets a chance on Sunday. I don't think we need to have a cut-off time other than just saying that votes are due by Saturday--so as long as the PM was sent before midnight CST on Saturday, it should count.

It should be noted, that this is a secondary way of voting. If you can attend the GM and vote in person, then do so. This is only intended for those who are unable to attend. We'll do a secret ballot at the GM, and send the results to Earwen, so she can combine them with the proxy votes to come up with a final tally. I'm not concerned with cheating, so I don't think Mike and I both have to send the tallies in, but we can do so if he really wants to. Otherwise, I'd say it'd be every bit as good to have Chuck, being the secretary and official recorder, send them in. His office is uncontested, so there's no conflict of interest.

 

Remember everyone, midnight CST = 10PM board time.

Its been weeks since I was last able to pack some fudge... and boy do the ladies miss it.

Classes started yesterday and I walked into my American Studies class that I am taking to get my arts credits only to realize it might just be my most favorite class ever. There are three required film screenings and on the list are: Episodes of 24, the Battlestar Galactic Miniseries, and Star Wars Episode III. How lucky can I get! Did I mention I am already taking an Indiana Jones class? No joke... best. semester. ever.

Wish I could be there, but I have to watch George Lucas movies for a grade.

The closest I got to a hobby related class activity was when I was permitted to write a paper comparing Captain Kirk to Hamlet. The prof told me I was didactic and preachy. I said I was trying to be like him. Only B+ I got at USI, but, it was worth it!

In one of the Presedential Elections of the 80's, MTV started running a campaign with some little stoner/rocker dude named Randy (reminiscent of Garth from the "Wayne's World" movies) Basically, it was Just say NO to all the other candidates and vote for the Randy guy. Oddly enough, I think he got quite a few write-in votes if I'm not mistaken.
