    I have a PS2 and a few Region 1 DVDs. A
friend at work recommended DVD-X to play them
and let me borrow his (old) copy to see if it worked with my PS2.
I gave it a shot and the PS2
didn't want to know - it kept telling me to
'insert a playstation or playstation 2
disk'. Fair enough, as the version he leant
me is the one with the hardware key, and
the current version uses a memory card.
I did a Google Search on the model number of my
    PS2 (SCPH-39003) and found I have a V7,
'the latest and greatest'. Before I spend money for DVD-X and the memory card,
I would like to find out if anyone has used this product successfully on a V7 PS2.

Well my friend brought a copy of Region X and it didn't work and took it back no hassle, then it was free on a magazine and it worked fine. I think that they keep updating the software so if you get the newest version you should be able to get it working.

Also it plays RCE no problem

no just the CD, but thats all I got when I brought mine for £15! Damn him!

The memory card stlye bit was phased out after the early versions apparantly, don't know if they have been brought back in, but it was only 6 months ago
