    Ok, now let's discuss something.

Rhode Island is neither a road or an island.

    Discuss.

Don't try and confuse me with your sly double speak LB.

Thighmaster is neither a Thigh or a Master. Discuss.

On another topic, I just thought I bought porn at Ralph's. Here's my story. I save all my receipts for things and then at the end of the month I scan them into the computer. Well I come across this one for Ralph's that said I bought three "Adult Tickets". It took me a long time wondering what Adult item I had bought at Ralph's. Finally I remember that I bought three tickets there for the Aquarium. I'm so silly.

I wish they sold porn at Ralphs. That way I don't have to go to the liquor store. Also I'm sure I would be able to use my Ralph's card and get like 4 for $10.

I'm drunk right now, by the way. :)

I had emergency surgery on my foot today (nothing big, but I was in pain so they hope this will fix it). I have a dumb shoe to wear, and a huge bandage. And it hurts now, but from healing (I hope). I can still walk, too, but I look, um, gimpy. I must say, getting local anaesthesia in the sole of one's foot is exactly like someone swinging a baseball bat down on said foot with full force. That was the worst pain I've felt in about twenty years. Maybe more. Worse than labor. Okay, done whining. But one last thing: I refused painkillers and wish I was drunk!

JB was so funny when she told me that she was having surgery. We were having lunch and she said it like "Oh this weekend I'm going to do laundry, go to the grocery store, and have surgery". I was like "What?!?"

I hope it goes well JB.

SR -- I was hurtin' so went in yesterday after we got off work early. I was so glad they took me right away and decided to go ahead with the surgery (it wasn't actually scheduled -- I was just hoping for anything that would fix ze old foot!). Thanks everyone; it was really small surgery but I'm really tired from it. Not too sore today though -- w00t! I do have to have follow-up consultations about my "mutant feet." LOL!

Ditto for me... why am I not there? oh yea, getting ready for movers. Can not get drunk. Porn at Ralphs would be cool. Same question, why not Netflix or Blockbuster.com selling those movies targeted for "adult entertainment" Censorship I tell you.

    I am sober now.

    D-B

(my movers came, everything is out of the house except my clothes, and laptop, and some food, scotch, and Stormtrooper armor.

Edit: feel better Liz. I have some wine for you to make you happy!!! :D :D

Ten Q,C & EE items from JB:

1 - Complaint. Not that the boards have been hopping today, but MAN...they are slow to load. Crimeny!
2 - VK, I love the quote you used for this latest incarnation of our most popular thread.
3 - I was just thinking about it, and remembering that JR created the original version of this thread to curb our Hasketting tendencies. Kudos! And it rocks that we have our own verb: "to Haskett." Reminds me of old days and me trying to name Ewoks.
4 - DB. Sitting in his empty house with no pr0n or alcohol (except my wine). This is a sad image to me. DB: you had better post here even though I know you're going to take over the Portland FF!
5 - well, I got no 5. (Although I could just say: "Red Five, standing by")
6 - I miss all the movers! Sara! Nick! Marshall! Gaaaah! But look at all the newbies who are awesome! Change is hard, but natural.
7 - I love how we LAFFers are showing our pride in our little band these days!
8 - I am going to watch SW in a minute or two.
9 - I am pain-free after that surgery...but will limp for a while. Yes, you may point and laugh.
10 - No I'm not on pain-killers or any mood-altering substances, but just feel like telling you all how much I loves ya! Star Wars, and the LAFF, forEVAH!

    Thank you for reading! :p

Oh, and please visit, and post, in our site! Pretty please?

I hear what you're saying JB. I feel the same way about all those things, except for having surgery and the pain killers and other drugs. We just have to stick together and keep things alive here!

My Comment of the day (sort of a bloggish entry): Yesterday I went to my first "Hollywood" party! No, it wasn't at any super fancy house in the Hollywood Hills, it was at a one bedroom apartment just north of Hollywood Blvd, near Vine. Still, everyone there was either an actor, an actress, or somehow in the entertainment industry. All they guys were good looking and in excellent shape, and all the women were beautiful. My wife and I were the only two "normal" people there (I know, I'm not normal..). These were all struggling Japanese actors who live here in LA. Most have had just small parts in TV shows and in movies. The guy who was hosting the party has been in many movies and does a lot of commercials and voiceovers. He's really talented. I didn't realize how much talent you need to be an actor, this guy can act, dance, sing, and the most important thing every Asian actor needs to know: he knows karate. He has a collection of scripts that he gets signed by the primary actors of whatever movie or tv show that he's in along with photos. It's really cool. I was born, raised, and lived my whole life here in LA, and until I joined the LAFF, I never knew any actors or anyone associated with the entertainment industry. I thought it was just a myth that people came here looking for fame and fortune, but I guess it's true. I'm sure it's a real struggle too. It's hard to get a job as an actor. Now I realize that. LA is a very interesting place.

I think we've always lived in the "wrong" part of town, JR. Not too many industry types out this way LOL.

My father's family is from North Hollywood, and we had friends there we would visit. Everyone on the block, it seemed, had something to do with the industry. The guy across the street was an Academy Award-winning cinematographer (sorry, can't remember who it was), there were a bunch of actors next door, and the guy at the end of the street "rented" animals for movies. I got to hold his chimpanzee a couple of times. My dad used to go visit his drinking buddies, who were all in the movies :). He also worked for Columbia Pictures for a while in the prop department, and then left, unfortunately.

Something totally off your guy's topic...

It's Nintendo's 20th anniversary this year, as well as the Gigantor's(Tetsujin 28) 40th in America. I believe Robotech's(Macross) 25th was last year along with Megaman and Street Fighter's 15th.

My uncle's a big movie and music buff. For the most part, if you ask him a question about rock or old movies, he'll tell you off the top of his head the year, title, who did what and any other trivia he might now about what you've asked him. VK, he's the uncle I called on LUNAR who got the Steve Martin movie in the first shot.

JR, You and the missus are pretty enough to fit in, I'm sure.

I went to a Hollywood Party once, years ago. It wasin a fancy house (but, not mansion) in Hollywood Hills. My brother-in-law was in a band playing at a TV/Radio celebrity's baby shower. My sister & I "were with the band." Since I had just moved to L.A., it was kind of a kick, but I much, much prefer ordering pizza with my buddies (like LAFF folks)than attending a posh, catered garden party with a bunch of people I don't know (famous or not.)
