Come one, come all for the inaugral Queensland Fan Force, Anzac Day Bike Ride!

The Digger's Cycle Classic is this cyclophile's way of honouring our Anzac heroes.
Absolutely anybody with a cycle(uni, bi, or tri!) is welcome to join me for a casual loop of the CBD Riverside Bikeway. Taking in the Botanical Gardens(from QUT), Story Bridge, Kangaroo Point, Southbank, Roma St Parklands, & culminating at Brisbane Square(Casino). The ownership of two functioning legs is highly recommended for this venture, as those with single amputations may find the experience, a little.. lopsided.

In any case, this ride is scheduled for a 10:00am start at the QUT end of the Goodwill Bridge. My suggestion to those interested is to hop your steeds onto the nearest train station & catch a choo-choo to Central. This will save your legs for the actual ride if you live further out from the CBD. Also, depending on the prevailing winds, & the numbers interested, there may be a group lunch at a suitable city eatery(ie,The Casino,or JoJos,etc). So with that said, I'll look forward to seeing y'all.. or not.

May The Treadly Be With You![face_peace]

Tis a nice idea. I have munchkin next Saturday though and not sure how he'd enjoy a 10 k bike ride ;), so that gets me off the exercise hook doesn't it? Would be happy to met you after for food/picnic somewhere.

I'll be sleeping, I imagine. Paul's conned me into going to the Anzac Day parade thingy by bribing me with pancakes for breakfast. Have fun though kids :)

Hey Hambo, just letting you know that we have to head up to the sunshiney part of the world on Saturday at lunchtime to visit with family so won't be able to meet up after the ride. Not sure if GOobs wants to ride early or even go see the ceremony perhaps, but I'm posting as he's working late shifts the next few and is out of comminucation with me and the rest of the world mostly during those days normally.

apologies as it was a nice idea. Just not sure if exercise and us go well together anymore ;)

sorry, only just reading this, but as it turns out I was getting to grips with a whole different kind of cycle with a whole different set of pedals and slightly less pushing involved ;)
