A truly fantastic fightback that made good the video refs shockingly bad calls that went against Queensland. All hail King Darren for that magnificent intercept. . You know the decisions are bad when a biased commentator like Phil Gould is saying the call should have gone in favour of Queensland...

 

Intercept???
I only caught the last ten minutes, so can't comment on any of the earlier stuff. But wasn't an intercept, it was a shockingly stupid brain-explosion, basically saying, "here, take the ball, we don't want it!" Lockyer was simply the only person interested in actually picking up the ball!
Almost as bad as some of the in-goal passes that have been around...

Hopefully, she'll have another Grand Slam trophy after the final. I'd say she'd be after revenge against Mauresmo(for the Oz Open), but she's actually good friends with the Frenchwoman. So, there's no real bad blood there. Difference is, she's fully fit this time, so her Grand Slam set might just be completed tonight.

How could we have lost at Rugby League?! To the Poms no less!!!
It's not so bad really, if it weren't for the fact that they're such bad winners...

I think because the English don't win many sporting contests..
They seem to think it's alright to act like a right pratt, when they do get one out of the blue.

 

But it was against England. Who cares? The only real international rubgy that matters are Rugby Union matches involving Australia and New Zealand or South Africa, and league matches between Australia and New Zealand.

 

I am actually quite glad the Poms won on Saturday night. I was actually cheering for them. (It had nothing to do with their Sportsbet price )

As a fan of the game, rather than the matches, it has finally injected some much needed 'contest' into the Tri-Nations.

I look forward now to the desperation the kiwis will have to show to remain in the series and then the Australia/GB game in Brisbane here in a fortnight to see the Kangaroos square the ledger.

BASKETBALL!

This deserves at least some recognition. Brisbane is in the NBL Final this year. They keep talking about the last time Brisbane won in 1987...oh how many games I saw that year.

Anyway. First Final against Melbourne tigers at Boondall tonight and it was a really close intense game and the Bullets won by 3. WOOHOOOOOOOOO. Best of 5 series. Next game is on Sunday night. Thought it was tomorrow Love foxtel, although you'd think something like this SHOULD be telecast on free to air.
