You: "Hey GoobaFish, that looks like IC's remote..."
    Me: "Yes, it does..."

You know I only just realised that if Goob was talking about replacing IC's remote and it got broken around the time she came home, the day I seemed to use it fine to work the DVD player, that my munchkin may have been to blame for it's broken-ness!

Hey I'll pay for it if it's the case! SORRY!!! He likes to treat remotes badly..although we do call them ewoks in our house, so that might be the problem..Ewok Abuse.

    Weird question, I know but...

Why do you call them Ewoks?

Honestly, my brother always called them that when we were kids, so it just became the norm for us. Last time someone asked him it was becasue they were small and hard to find. That and if I had an ewok, I'd definitely keep it stuffed down the side of the couch cushion.

I prefer the term 'God-stick' because television is my religion (well, not anymore but it used to be).

Oh yes Neech, I too was in that cult..er religion.
I don't recall much, but I remember they used to sing this song a lot.

(To the tune of Amazing Grace)
    Amazing tube, of cathode rays.
That filled, my days, and nights.
I once, was smart, but now, I'm dumb.
    From all, the flashin' lights.

Heh, :p I thought that one of my remotes was going on the blink once then I realised that I had that remote for about six years. So I just changed the batteries and low and behold it worked just great again. :D

Again I go back to my TV cult ode(^Amazing Grace)...
too much of the flashin' lights make ya brainz all mushy eh.

If you don't believe me, watch The Teletubbies for a while...
pretty soon, you'll forget to breathe, let alone change the batteries.
That said, sometimes you just get dodgy 'tele-changers'.

Well I'm still quite happily addicted to TV and don't feel that my brain's ever been too mushified. Of course a large part of the last 3 years has been spent watching tele-tubbies, Thomas the Tank and Dora the Explorer so maybe my reality is a little skewed.

And yeah we should get back to Tech talk or the Goob is gonna get angwy.

( oh funny story first..we watched Phantom Menace tonight and Finn kept asking where the Boogerfish was..he just can't say Goobafish yet. Can't wait to see Goob )

I don't believe we ever had a remote when we were younglings [face_thinking]
    A TV with a remote was a thing not seen before o_O;;

I don't watch TV these days (too much crappiness) but I do believe it has mushified my imagination just a little bit  noooes...

I sometimes suspect my father only agreed to have kids so there would be someone to change the channel for him.
