So a friend of mine wanted to start reading the old EU so i let him borrow my set of the "Darth Bane Trilogy" However my Rule of Two was kind of ruined from wear and tear so i went to buy a new one. But i noticed the new prints say "Legends" on them now like most of the old EU. But in the Clone Wars (which Disney/Lucasfilms recognizes as canon) Darth Bane is in season 6 when he's talking to Yoda as an illusion or spirit if i remember. And in fact They even mention "The Rule of Two"... So why are the Darth Bane novels considered "Legends" now and not just canon?

    Per Iron Lord's post.

Just because Bane is canon now doesn't mean his story is exactly the same as the Legends Bane. Basically all that is canon about Bane is what you see said about him in TCW or any other canon works (which I think that TCW episode is the only canon material so far where Bane is mentioned).
