On the FIREFLY series, in the 5th episode I believe, when Shepherd Book is injured, he is taken to an Alliance hospital because he supposedly has Alliance connections. Then, in the final episode of the series, after the Bounty Hunter rendered Book unconscious, and when Simon confronts him about beating a Shepherd, the Bounty Hunter replies saying "That is not a shepherd." However, the series was cancelled, and none of this concerning Book was resolved.

Then in the SERENTIY movie, Book is killed. So, I am wondering, is it possible that Joss Whedon forgot to resolve this particular issue?

EDIT: Please disregard. I found the FIREFLY/SERENTIY thread.
