I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but it's something I have wondered about for quite some time now.

It's about Kir Kanos and his friend Tav Kennede - at the end of the "Bounty Hunters: Kenix Kil" comic, Tav asks him why he needs an X-wing. Kir replies that Skywalker flies one, too, and it's always good to know your enemy. But Tav must already have been a Rebel pilot by then, right?
In Crimson Empire II though, Kir is not even surprised that his friend is a Rebel. How can this be? And how can it be that he apparently does not care, being the staunch Imperial loyalist?
Is it a mistake the authors made??

Friendship can often carry more weight than political affiliation, if that helps.
