question about marvel's world of fire comic....

can anyone give me an idea on what it is worth. someone i know is offering it up for $15. is it worth it? where does the story fit in the timeline and is it worth it? thanks....

 

It's worth what you're willing to pay for it.

 

It's set about 5 months after the Battle of Yavin. Personally, I'm a big fan of the story. It's a little Star Trekky, but it's not bad (it's in black and white though). I'm also a completist, so...
Anyway, 15 bucks isnt bad. It's pretty rare, so I'd go for it.

whats it about?

 

Luke, Leia, the droids and a girl named Mikki get stranded on a dark and forboding planet where a strange beast is living (remenants of an old civilization are found there). They are forced to team up with Imperials in an effort to get off the planet.

 

The prologue involves two Rebel pilots investigating the scene of a massacre at a Rebel base on Alashan, and both are brutally killed by unknown forces.

 

What are all the formats this story was published?

I know it originally appeared in Star Wars Weekly somewhere between #107-115.

Also, I know there was a Marvel Illustrated paperback containing the stories.

But I also "heard" there was a 3 issue Marvel mini-series reprinting it as well. Is there any truth to this?
