Hi, No sure if this has been asked but I am wondering if there's any archive of the fiction on the official website the hyperspace section. As I know it had closed down in 2011. Wondering if theres any plans to print them like existing tales books.
The folks at Del Rey/Lucas Books have repeatedly mentioned no plans for any further anthology collections citing that they have a limited number of book slots and they tend not to sell as well as new novels. I suppose that could change now with Disney in charge. I believe there were some rumors a few months back about a comprehensive collection of short stories.
Some of the Hyperspace content has been re-released on that one Sudowoodo site. Following a quick search: Deader than a Triton Moon, by Jason Fry Labor Pains, by John Jackson Miller Crossroads, by Christopher Cerasi Shades of Gray: From the Adventures of Alex Winger, by Charlene Newcomb The Old Republic: Smuggler's Vanguard, by Rob Chestney Precipice, by Chris Cassidy Lando Calrissian: Idiot's Array, by Rich Handley Fists of Ion, by Ed Erdelac Interference, by John Jackson Miller The Secret Journal of Doctor Demagol, by John Jackson Miller Knight Errant: Influx, by John Jackson Miller The Knight Errant Gazetteer, by Dan Wallace, Jason Fry, and John Jackson Miller There may be more; not sure. I also seem to recall Pablo mentioning something at CVI about the possibility that Del Rey would be releasing e-books of some of their older content, including some of these short stories. But my memory of that panel is a bit fuzzy.
Okay, you've jogged my memory. At CVI I think they implied that they were planning to release many/most short stories as ebook.....however that was before D-day.
When talk about book sales, I guess I can understand they wouldn't sell very well, but those links look intresting. Cheers
Here is the Suvudu fiction, all in one convenient place. For those interested in what is happening with some of the other material (particularly the new source articles that were one of the best parts of the last years of Hyperspace), I asked Pablo Hidalgo about that a while back on Facebook, and this is what he had to say:
I've finished all the stories that were linked in this thread. Great stuff. Does anyone have any other favorite links to good SW stories?
I read only a few of them. Some of them are really long and my mind is really burnt out this summer from studying for a licensing exam...
