    Hi all,

This may be a dumb question, but I have Quicktime downloaded to my computer. Whenever I click on an .avi or .mov file the Quicktime window doesn't come up naturally. I figured since it was downloaded already onto my C drive that it should when I simply click on a video file. Anyone know if there is some sort of setting I need to do on my computer?

    Thanks in adavance,

    Kras

    :)

    Have you installed it yet?

I don't think Quicktime playes avi files.

quicktime doesn't play .avi's. anyway, right-click on the file and click on properties. Then choose for it to open with quicktime.

QuickTime does play AVIs. You would have to open QuickTime, and open the file by clicking "File>Import." Depending on the codec used on the AVI you're trying to play QuickTime may not be able to play it.
