Why can't I post polls in the lit. forum?

 

They were turned off as an option because they were being used irresponsibly, and were not adding to the discussion in this forum, only clogging it up.

When did this happen, can't we post an Admin our poll questions.

If it's crap, you ditch it. If it's good put it up.

It would make the boards more efficent, the polls anyway.

No one person was the cause, it was abused by everyone.

And we can't set it so that only admins can post them, it would have to be a matter of trust that you guys wouldn't, and there will be people who would just abuse that.

Besides, what discussion is there that can't be done in a normal thread and can only be done by a poll??

 

I hated the polls that were like "Who's your favorite Jedi?", then had like 5 options to choose from. Those were basically choosing the Jedi you liked best out of someone else's favorite 5.

Well, I was including myself in that. I was still just a normal user the first and second time they were removed.

 

I don't think it's coming back soon, either.

 

You know, I'm getting seriously tempted to put up a pure SW poll section on my website for folks here to respond to polls without cluttering the forum with em. I certainly understand where the admins are coming from. This is what, the fourth time this year that the polls have had to be closed because it gets to the point where one has to go five pages in to find anything but polls. It gets tiring after a while.
