Edmonton Question of the Week for Aug 20: Do you think that Count Dooku is truly evil?

Or was he genuine in his offer to Obi-Wan?


I think that both are true... he was genuine to Obi-Wan in that he wanted his help to destroy Sidious and take over the Sith Order...

Of course he's evil! He cut the arm of Anakin!
And he tried to fry Yoda!

He is a Sith. Does that not make him evil? Or only of the Dark Side?

 

Dooku's evil. "Powerful you have become Dooku. The Dark Side I sense in you."


By the way, how do you think GL would explain it if Christopher Lee died before filming began for episode 3? What do you think he'd do?

 

That is something I have thought about too General... I have always wondered what a director would do if one of their stars died before a film or trilogy was completed...

Fortunately for Uncle George, Dooku really isn't a "main" character. We know he is going to die eventually, if he has to kill him offscreen, it would suck, but I am sure the fans would understand.

Personally, I am looking forward to seeing how GL actually "does" kill off the Count...

Here's what would be fun:

Dooku captures Anakin and brings him to Sidious. Dooku and Anakin square off, Dooku being killed, thanks to Anakin's rage.
Sidious reveals himself, and says:
"Go ahead, strike me down! Complete your journey down the dark path!"
Anakin does strike him down, and Obi-Wan then enters to see this, opening up to the anticipated battle. Meanwhile, Palpatine is cloned, and doesn't really die, and gains a new sith apprentice. This would also be a good EU tie-in.

 

That would be pretty cool...
