    Do you think that Anakin would turn to the dark side if Qui-Gon had not died?

    I guess it depends on if you believe in destiny.

    If you do than Anakin didn't have chance. Maybe that was how he was destine to bring balance to the force. (I'm not sure how that is going to work out.)

    But what I think is interesting is how much did Obi Wan's jealousy have to do with Anakin's fell? How much did that taint Anakin's training? Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I think that it could be factor in the next films.

    You can't pin Anakin's fall on any particular thing. Shmi, Padme, his pride, his jealousy, his anger, there are numerous reasons. The thing I want to know: what will be his breaking point?
