San A, TX Question on Aug. meeting`

Are we having the August meeting on Saturday the 9th

I hope someone reads this and replies
I'll chech back here in the morning

I do believe we are having the meeting tomorrow
so I plan to be there ...with my show & tell

 

OOOPS!!!

August has totally gotten away from me. I'm sorry, I haven't sent out an email about the meeting, and I still haven't heard back from Santikos.
Tom Hodges posted something about an event at the Alamo Drafthouse.

Since I didn't send out the email for the meeting, let's have the meeting on Saturday, August 16th instead, and then we can just go to the movie after.

Sorry for being so forgetful this month. I'm swamped with back to school stuff. Sorry.

I figured that out after I sat at Atomic Comics for a half hour waiting for peeps. I should check my email more diligently in the future.

Mars, I'm sorry. I suck
I am just swamped and have been fighting my allergies all week, and time just got away from me.
I am actually thinking that since Tom Hodges is going to be over at the Draft House next weekend for the opening of Clone Wars, we should find some place to meet over there and then head over the theater in the early afternoon. That way we can stay on the same side of town.
Do you have any suggestions for a place where we can meet for lunch before the movie? I guess we should also figure out the times it will be showing, and if we want to get dressed up or not. Though I suppose if we are going to meet for lunch and have our meeting first, being dressed up might not work so well.
Anyway, let me know what you want to do, and where we should meet because it seems silly to meet all the way over at Atomic Comics if we are going to the Draft House after.

We could eat at Acadiana for lunch. It's right next to the theater and it's good eating!

No worries about the meeting Lisa. I wasn't upset or anything.

 

Okay, that sounds like a plan.

Let's try for the 3:15pm showing of The Clone Wars at the Alamo Drafthouse.

 

Since we are going to Alamo Drafthouse to see The Clone Wars, it wouldn't make sense to go all the way across town after the meeting, so we're going to meet at a nearby restaurant for this meeting only.

Okay, so here is the official plan for Saturday's SA Fan Force meeting:

Place: Red Lobster- 1381 SW Loop 410 (right past the Drafthouse)
Date: Saturday, Aug. 16
Time: Noon

Movie -
Place: Alamo Drafthouse
Time: After lunch (about 1-1:30pm) The movie starts at 3:15pm. Get your tickets ASAP!

Hola Folks, been wanting to catch a meeting but my Saturdays stink on ice since I now work on Saturdays from 12:30 to 9pm

I will touch base with one of you and I will probably go see Clone Wars on Sunday.

you guys all know the Drafthouse has:

1. Inexpensive GOOD FOOD

2. A small cafe area where you could have your meeting

 

I have actually never been there, and i asked mars if there was an area to eat. he said not really that's why i suggested something else. how do the rest of you feel about eating there

 

I will not be able to attend the meeting ...my transportaion is not working.
I hope to make next month's meeting ..with my show & tell

I have been to the DraftHouse for a screenning and the food is reasonable prices
