    What does it mean when threads have the line striken through them?

    It means the threads are locked and no new posts can be made. This is either because they were locked by a moderator or they autolocked after six months without a new post. If a thread has autolocked you can PM one of the forum mods to ask that it be unlocked if you think you have something to offer in the discussion.
