Boba has Slave 1, remember. Killing Mace in a straight up fight would be impossible, but with a ship...

I don't understand why it's so difficult to see Boba killing Mace; he is Boba Fett after all.

True enough, but a 12 year old Boba Fett.

A nine year old Anakin Skywalker destroyed a Trade Federation armed freighter(by accident!). A twelve year old Boba Fett is infinately more dangerous.

True enough. His father did say in the book that in just a few years Boba would surpass him in skill. Ya know when you saw Slave1 land after the Asteroid chase? That was Boba flying.

Mace > Jango. Which we obviously found out. :p

The Reek trampled Jango. He was lucky to get out of that with only a broken jetpack.

Without the pack, it was just a normal human against a Jedi. Nine times out of ten, that'll go to the Jedi.

Thats a good point Reese, I had forgotten that the reek broke his jetpack. Now it makes more sense the way it went down...

Boba will kill Mace. I think it's pretty much a given considering how Boba saw Jango go down, and then the helmet scene and all...

As Ed suggested, if his jet pack wasn't damaged he could have self-destructed taking Mace with him.

I never said that Dave. I said he could have flew away and gotten another perspective on the fight. It is you concocting these strange words.

    (Not a bad idea though)

Self destructing isn't a good way out. You still wind up dead and can't enjoy your victory.

You did say that Ed, on the way to the digital showing. I remember clearly! But then again, they say I am dilusional...

Maybe he wouldn't be able to enjoy his victory, but he probably wouldn't be able to enjoy it anyway when thousands of Clone Troopers arrive and kill him. He could have either just died, or died and took the most powerful of the Jedi with him.

If Jango could have kept his distance from Mace, he would have realized it was time to pick on someone else

    :D

Yeah, he should've taken on a different Jedi.

    New Theory

I actually came up with this one back after Episode I, but it may quite possibly be seen in III.

    What happened to Qui-Gons lightsaber?

What we know: Obi-Wan most likely has it somewhere safe, since he has not been using it.

Theory: Obi-Wan will eventually take it apart into different pieces at his hovel on Tatooine. He'll store it away inside that big o'l box of his from which he took Anakins saber when he gave it to Luke.

Luke Skywalker will eventually construct his second lightsaber (Green one from Jedi) out of pieces of Qui-Gon Jinns saber in The Phantom Menace.

    Comments?

Interesting. Good symmetry there. In circles things go in the GFFA.

Thats a great theory. I think he probably did use the crystal from Qui-Gon's saber.
