    Uh.. Bubba?
I think you're giving us too much information regarding your sleeping habits.. It's starting to freak me out. We may be friends, but there are some things we don't need to know

Welcome to my world, Lord Bubba (insert maniacal laughter here) "I'll get you next time Gadget, NEXT TIIIIIIIIIIIME!"

Oh, btw, JR, it's Hors D'Oeuvres... how you're supposed to get Or-derves outta that jumble is beyond me, but then again, I'm not french.

"Of course I'ma French, why do you think I have this outraaaaaageous accent-eh?"

I know that line but I can't place it and I know I will remember after I post this. It's driving me crazy! My gut reaction is it's Eric Idle but then again...
Now I remember! It was that castle Arthur and his group went to, the one where they catapulted the cow (and the failed wooden rabbit). Hilarious!

Eric Idle was a god guess, but you got it... it's none other than the "In-de-fat-i-gable" John Cleese. Bonus points if you know why I quoted and broke indefatigable down like that...

    Hey all -
I got his from a friend yesterday and thought i'd share it with you guys...it's a bit long but worht the read...besides, it's as long as TK421's posts! j/k TK. ;)

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but
shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but
have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller
families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less
sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems,
    more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little,
drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too
little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our
possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and
    hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to
life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but
have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer
space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom,
but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but
accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more
computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we
    communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small
character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of
two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are
days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night
stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to
quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and
nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to
you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just
    hit delete.

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going
to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to
you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your
side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is
the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most
of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep
inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday
that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak,
and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments
    that take our breath away.

    HOW TO STAY YOUNG

    1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let
the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.

    2. Keep only cheerful friends.. The grouches pull you down.

    3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening,
whatever. Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's workshop."
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

    4. Enjoy the simple things.

    5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

    6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is
with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

    7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets,
keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

    8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable,
improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

    9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a
foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

    10. Tell the peop

TK, I have no idea why you broke it down unless it was from "A Fish Called Wanda" or something like that. It's been a long time since I've seen that one but some how that comes to mind. As for the quote, isn't it because you said you were not French?

SoloJedi, very nice post. Long, but something to think about.

heh... It's from the scene that no one seems to remember from the same film, the first musical number when they go to Camelot "On second thought let's not go to Camelot" "'tis a silly place..."

My padawan loves the Camelot scene. He first saw the Lego movie version (which is quite good) and enjoyed it immensely so I showed him the movie. After a while, I realized it was a bad idea and proceeded to fast forward the DVD through some of the scenes. I will show it to him again when he is older.

The LEGO version is just the Camelot musical number. It's on the special edition DVD, or you can download it from Brickfilms, or Ifilm.

Hey all...just wanted to say, i was thinking about the upcoming grand slam here in pasadena...hope it's as good as last year's!!! i can't wait to don my jedi costume once again....
Also for some strange reason was thinking/hoping the EP III would be out THIS summer instead of next!

I've been hearing my cds, usually when i go to sleep, and i lie there thinking of the scenes while the music plays. My fav. has t be the ANH soundtrack....the cantina song...GREAT! The "here they come", music excellent...and ofcourse the ever popular and all time fav. the ceremony theme....it always gives me chills!!!

I also like the last 2 songs on the TESB cd....the han and leia's theme as it ends....

Ok my thoughtless, pointless post for the day!!!

What's the name of the song that plays as Luke loos into the sunsets? That's probably my second favorite SW song.
Haven't heard the Shadows of the Empire one yet.

I think it's called Binary sunset or something like that. It is a great song. That always makes me sigh. I don't know if it's in sympathy because Luke feels he's going no where or because it's the last bit of peace he has (if you discount the internal struggle) before his life is turned upside down.

JR agrees that it is called "Binary Sunset". Maybe there's something out there that has it listed as "The Princess Appears". Who still has the Mecco disco Star Wars Album? My brother had one, I think he gave it to me. I also have his old Star Wars blanket (polyester thing). It's pretty cool, though a bit ragged and scratchy.

Is it funny to anyone else that as soon as "real threads to discuss off topic conversations" start they go virtually ignored?

The track on the Star Wars Soundtrack that plays that beautiful theme is called The Hologram/Binary Sunset. So you get to listen to the music to "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi.. You're my only hope."

Ever notice how DH is always changing the subject?

I'll change it again. I was driving home last night on my own private race course, the 110 Pasadena Freeway.. I was just speeding along in my wonderful new car then all of the sudden two dogs start crossing the freeway!! I saw my life flash before my eyes! I thought this is it! If I swerve to miss them, I will crash. If I slam on my brakes, the guy behind me is gonna crash into me. If I hit the dogs, I'll feel terrible, and plus my car will be damaged anyway. I just punched the accelerator and hoped to miss them before they crossed into my lane. LUCKILY I didn't hit them.. but all of the sudden I noticed there were no cars behind me anymore. This isn't the first time I've seen dogs cross that freeway. It's weird how they stray onto it.

ok, note to self: Do not ride in car with JR!!! [face_shocked].

Oh man that sounds scary dude!!! Glad to hear nothing happened to you or your new car. Strange how you are the only one whom this happens to...dogs on the freeway? And you said it has happened before? Maybe it's someone's way of telling you to SLOW DOWN?!?!?! ;).

Seriously though, good to hear you're ok!
