Thanks for the Dr. Who link, SR. I sort of kind of agree with CBM about that restaurant. We had an office holiday party catered by them a couple of years ago & I was a little disappointed, too. It was OK, but nothing great & although there was plenty of pasta, the helpings of entrees were a little skimpy.

I was going to say it actually seems cheaper than the food normally is for LAFF stuff since food for two people is in the 10-15 range rather than food for one person being in that range. Not seeing how it'd be too expensive, at least considering some of the other frequented places like the Yardhouse.

I'm mainly looking for a place that will hold a lot of people easily. That's the number one requirement.

Did you check out this place? I know you're kind of shying away from chains, but it looks pretty good, and not too expensive.

Well I like Macaroni Grill and Buca di Beppo. The portions at the Encino location seemed ample the last two times I was there. Does Macaroni Grill have looooong tables like Buca does?

    Thursday - $25, Friday - $25, Saturday - $30, Sunday - $15. That was last year's prices, this year's info won't go up until April or May.

What time of the year is Comic Con because I have never been but I want to go and I hope it isn't like during the summer because I am already missing Anime Expo this year because I have doing drum corps and after June 28th I have no life other than corps.

    Looks like you'll be missing out on Comic-Con. It's July 24 - 27.

Oh well. But I always have next year and the year after that etc. unless they are insane and decide to cancel the con which I don't think would happen.

Does anyone know of any mom and pop places that might be good? There's tons of food in LA, there has to be one good italian place somewhere...I like all of those places though.

We should go to Miceli's -- the servers SING! I love that place...

Miceli's is a wonderful restaurant with great food, but wouldn't it be hard to hold a meeting there?

Looks delicious and not too expensive. My only problem would be making a choice. Everything looks good except the eggplant. (I'm allergic.)

Love Miceli's but it gets too crowded.

Have we decided on a date yet or is it still to be determined?

Well, I'm assuming a poll will come up at some point, but I, in my heavily biased way, would like to put forward a vote for either Friday, Feb 15 or Saturday Feb 23 as they're the only two evenings on the 'weekend' that I don't work for the month.
