It sounds like you are confused about what Socialism actually is.

EDIT: Why is it your only coherent statements are your references to religious rhetoric?

Didn't you name two dates that have come and gone already? Does your god not follow our calendar?

Probably times, but not the exact date I've ever stated. He will come back most likely during Rosh Hashana as that is the time that deals with the Lord coming down and with the coronation of the King.

    Dear Arlon,
On keeping with the Hellfire and Brimstone funtime, as a fellow Southerner and a spiritually curious person, I've been to more than a few hardcore Pentacostal churches and tent revivals. Do you have any experiences with these events that are most memorable to you that you'd like to share with us?
This is your chance to truly separate yourself from Sunday Morning Sheople and the Man Who Made a Difference.
    No pressure or nothing.

That was last year? Goodness reading that makes me think it was years ago when I was first here yet it says 2011. [face_dunno] What mood was I in at that time?

They are held and bound back together in His tender care and love. It hurts to be broken hearted but as I know no pit is so deep, that His love is not deeper still. We can't focus on old hurts, but must move forward and live. Our heart may be broke, but we must can't have our body fall apart along with it. No matter the struggles, or the pain, or how great that pain may be, we have to keep moving, because if we don't we may miss what may happen if we stand still.

What type of event you mean? I'm not understanding what you're saying honestly.

Uh no. The basis of socialism is the redistribution of wealth to help all people in a society better themselves (doesn't that sound an awful lot like a number of things that Jesus said were good?). It has nothing to do with religion either way. The Soviet Union happened to outlaw the Russian Orthodox Church for political reasons (they were a powerful symbol of the old world that threatened their claim for power). It was opportunistic American politicians that equated Communism with Godlessness in order to stir up fear. Its a mistake to confuse the Soviets with socialist political philosophy, just like its a mistake to wade into complex discussions while deeply misinformed.

FYI: Jesus would probably be staunchly opposed to capitalism, consumerism, and corporatism if he were here today.

Here's a question Arlol: what college do you attend/attended? In what school of higher education did you gain such insightful knowledge on politics, world affairs and such?

Why do you think he's not Christian? Are you aware he self-identifies as a Christian? Furthermore why is this important in a country that is not a theocracy, and where church and the state are separated, and there is explicitly no religious test for office?

Christians put Jesus first, and not try to take Him out of your office or platform

His Office should be separate from Jesus regardless of his faith.

No it shouldn't. We are a nation under God. He won't even do the pledge for that, yet people pledge to him. He wants allegiance to his government. He wants to be god. He doesn't want to worship God.

Anyway, I'll be out for awhile. I'll post sporadically, but I'll be gone for a bit. Don't expect any replies for now. Good night

If you're of the opinion that government and public officials should promote one specific religion over other beliefs rather than remaining strictly neutral on matters of faith well then...I don't think we've got a lot in common...

By the way, do you find it ironic that Christians in Egypt (who are a minority) are pushing for a secular government? Why should the Christian majority in America act like Muslim majorities in the Middle East in attempting to inscribe their faith into public institutions? How are we supposed to tell Muslims, Hindus or Buddhists around the world to respect religious minorities in their countries if we don't do the same here?
