Does anyone know what the choir is singing in Qui-Gon's funeral?

I'm not being serious here, but it sounds like they're singing 'oh when I see her, for long I see her' or something like that.

I think it's sanskrit; don't ask me what it means:

    Madhurah swehpna, go rahdomah swehpna.
Madhurah swehpna, go rahdomah swehpna, morittioo, madhurah, swehpna.

OK I may be able to help now. I think my parents know Sanskrit. I'll ask them to help translate it.

EDIT: I myself can tell you that the word 'swephna', I think, means 'yourself'.

Wow grand_admiral_ewok, your parents know Sanskrit?!

    That's freaking awesome!

My grandmother knows quite a bit and is teaching me a little, but sadly, Sanskrit is dying out in India. :(

Thankfully, there are those out there that are successfully learning it and making it become popular again. So that's good news at least! :D

Yeah they went to school in India and it was a compulsory subject.

It is a shame that a lot of old languages and cultures are dying out, you're right.

But it seems that John Williams has brought Sanskrit into the mind of his listeners in a way.
