I know a guy who lives in New Jersy and his yard is infested with cicada. He sent me a picture.

I've only been in Virginia since Sunday night and already I've been attacked by one! So yesterday Shawn let the chickens out to eat the cicadas. My hero!


My vacation will be longer than I thought though. I decided to come home on Saturday. And well, you can tell that I still visit the boards while I'm away. Don't any of you little whippersnappers get any crazy ideas.

I hate cicadas! One almost landed on me yesterday.

It was because of a cicada back when I was 15 I was almost hit by a car.I was riding my 10-speed on a parkway overpass with a friend when all of a sudden,POP!One flies right at my ear,startling the poop out of me,causing me to swerve off the sidewalk and almost become a new hood ornament to a Cadillac.Luckily,I just managed to swerve back onto the sidewalk as 2 tons of steel,rubber,and plastic sped by honking at me.It was from then on there that whenever I see one,one thought comes to mind:SQUASH 'EM!!Heh,harmless my asteroid!

six foot talking cicada could be the next stupid local life form. It could have a french and rusian accent.

 

How come there hasnt been a movie about giant cicades taking over the world. Were tired of ants and spiders being the bad guys, right??

 

The cicadas were horrible when I was down in Maryland last weekend. All you could here was this non-stop buzzing coming from every tree and bush.

Hopefully we won't be getting them up here any time soon.

 

You know, after a couple of days, I almost got used to them. And driving home today, when I stopped in NJ and there were no cicadas, it was kind of sad.

Of course, I never had one actually land on me either.
